The Well Cafe (called beo - the well) and Brogans Pub are highly recommended for great atmosphere and food options. Spotted many other nice shops but didn't have the time to browse much.
Parking in the town was a little difficult (hard to find spaces) and the country roads around the town are quite narrow.

Lovely town, great nightlife, friendly people, go to Noras for nightlife and kaffiene for a coffee the morning after. If you are driving through avoid the motorways on Google maps, the countryside near limerick is so worth checking out if you haven't...

We were directed to Ennis as being "the home of Irish pub music". Yes we did go to 2 pubs one night and enjoyed some music. It was great - well it was ok. I would not travel all the way there again as there was little else in Ennis.

The town itself is perhaps not as quaint as others, although there are still great spots (and lots of contruction when we were there, so I bet we saw it at its worst), but it is so central to many cool places...the Cliffs, airport, Bunratty Castle and Craggaunowen Castle (cool historic area, must see!) and Aillwee Burren experience.
Eat at Knox's for consistent fare and sometimes trad music, and Paddy Quinns for trad music.

Although there was construction work in the centre of town, it didnt hinder our enjoyment. The selection of shops were excellent and we enjoyed some retail therapy.
We enjoyed excellent food at Brogans Bar & Restaurant in O'Connell Street.
Perhaps there could be more venues for Breakfasts early morning..

Queens Hotel is in a brilliant location in Ennis, next to some fantastic pubs and above a coffee shop. I was pretty worried about the reviews about the loudness at night, but decided to risk it because it was well-priced. I was very pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a problem at all for my stay - but keep in mind that I stayed on a Monday night.
Due to low ratings on Booking.com, I was also worried it would feel like a bit of a dive, but it didn't at all! I am really glad I stayed at Queens Hotel!
first of all the hosts mary and jerry were very helpful, friendly and kind. they provided good advice on place to eat and pubs. their place was very homey, comfortable and close to downtown Ennis- a wonderful small town. the breakfast they proved was great! i would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling ireland in this area.
Locatino was excellent , the hotel staff and its atmospheere were very welcomming and wanted to ensure all was pleasing. I would highly recommedn to anyone looking to stay in Ennis and explore the region. We got a booking in the Restauraunt beside the Hotel - the town Hall and the food there was excellent .
We absolutely loved this house. Everything is new and absolutely spotless. My kids didn't want to leave. It's very close to Ennis and Dromoland and right off the motorway. Lynda left beautiful homemade bread and lots of breakfast cereals.
We will definitely stay here again. A brilliant find. 100% recommend
