Menton located to the east of Nice and Monaco is near the border of Italy. A charming city where we found the local restaurants very good. Our favorite was O Petite Corner for morning breakfast operated by a young couple that take great pride in their restaurant and the quality. My two top restaurants were JR Bistro in Menton and Au Grand Inquisitor that is located in a small city on top of the mountain towards Monaco. Au Grand Inquisitor takes a little effort to get there but the views were amazing, and the dinner one of the best meal experiences ever. Each of these highest ratings and I secretly recommend for 5 star experience.

And take the bus up to Gorbio , ancient village perche … fabulous day out !
Lovely little hotel. The staff was so helpful and wonderful. The location was great, just about a 12-min walk from Menton train station. We had a view of the sea and it was so beautiful. The hotel is a little outside the main centre of Menton, but there are still restaurants and cafes within an easy walk along the beachfront.
Hotel building itself is a lovely example of the historic grandeur of Menton. Bedroom and public spaces well designed with quality fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings. Bed very comfortable. The swimming pool was the highlight of our stay. Easy access via steps into pool. Costin the concierge was very helpful.
Quiet hotel a few minutes further out of town, but all the nicer for that.
A 10 min walk from Menton Garavan station, rather than 25 min walk from the town station.
Friendly, helpful staff, we didn't take breakfast there as we were meeting friends elsewhere.
the staff were so friendly, very clean, older interior but when I travel I always want the authentic style of the country. It was typical France and had a great location. We will come back.
