Some great day tours and half day tours from Johannesburg. Definitely recommend the Lesedi cultural village,walk with lions,walk with elephants, apartheid museum and military museum.
Six hour drive to Kruger Park or there's a couple of small airports close to Kruger from Joberg.
Ubers are the main way to get around and most tour people communicate through WhatsApp.
ATMs are very hard to find, make sure your travel card is fully loaded and you have enough cash.

I found Johannesburg ok.
I found Johannesburg ok. There's a few things you must do from there. The apartheid museum,Seledi cultural village tour. It's also 6 hr drive to Kruger national Park, which is a must visit.
Ubers in Johannesburg are the easiest option. Tipping is expected everywhere. Make sure you have lots of 50 rand notes beforehand,as they're hard to find there. Stay at a good hotel, like the reef because you don't go out at night, for safety.
It's hard to find an ATM anywhere,so make sure your travel card is fully loaded. Don't pay more than 350 rand for trip to or from airport by uber.
Military museum is fantastic,but hard to find. Well worth a visit if you're into military history. Get an uber,but check driver knows where it is.

Johannesburg is great, I love the Sandton area, that is where you will find the Nelson Mandela Square. This small area is alive with different dining places. The Apartheid Museum is also worth a visit.

I liked the room itself, it was cozy, the bed was great and I generally enjoyed it. There was no hot water which super duper sucked. I didn`t like that there was no bar fridge and that the walls were very thin, you could hear all the other guest`s conversations.

Bustling, iconic, true African urbanacity! Do not confine your visit to just Sandton, Rosebank, or Soweto. You must plan enough time to visit everywhere - there are gems all around! The Red Bus tour is a good way to see some of the key spots in half a day. There is a plethora of city vibes to explore. And the food is amazing!

Rosebank is very nice, but unfortunately crime in the area is reportedly increasing. Generally, Joburg is not a place I would stay predominantly because of the crime and poor state of municipal management of the city.
The room was perfect big comfortable it felt like I was rich lol this hotel was perfect In every way room was always clean It felt like I was at home 5 stars 🌟 for the room and 10 stars 🌟 for the staff
And the lady at the front desk her smile and her ways can make u day ❤️ 100% with no doubt best hotel I ever stayed in in my life from now blackbrick sandton two is my 2nd home will only be staying with u guys

The Hotel is central in the Johannesburg CBD and offers good value, comfortable accommodation. The room is spacious enough, the cleanliness can be improved and the open and public spaces/areas and conference facilities could do with improvement and updating. The restaurant on the ground floor is well run and recommended and the venue on the top floor is a definite asset and well worth the visit.
The hotel is extravagant for South African standards, but rather mediocre compared to other places I’ve seen around the world. Mainly because of the staff. They definitely needs better training and leadership!
