The mystic maldives is a charming and peaceful place. Our hosts were concerned by our wellbeing, and always there to provide help, service, or just a smile! The kind of place where one feels at home… big plus on the personal touch in building design and décorations arrangement.

The guesthouse is small (only four rooms) and welcoming. Each room is also very simple: Mathiveri is a local island so forget about the stereotype of resort and luxory, but the structure is cleaned and you will have all you need to stay confortable and enjoy your vacation.
But, what more than everything else made our stay really great was Non Powan, the guy who is in charge of the guesthouse management. He’s so kind and willing, always trying to help you enjoy your days.
Last but not least, we really suggest to take advantage of the to partnership that the guesthouse is offering: the first one is with, we think, the best restaurant in the island: Irube Cafè. The second one is with PADI, one of the excursions centres of Mathiveri.
Very recommended!

The host was very very nice and helpful. We received from him more than we expected. Breakfasts were delicious, we could always come to the dining place and drink tea or coffee. We were receiving drinking water in bottles free of charge. The place was clean and very comfortable. We highly recommend it!
The sandy beaches here are really beautiful. There is an easy access to the sandbank - depending on actual ocean current it is possible to swim there or rent a kayak. There is not so much places for snorkelling as there are not corals on the beaches. There is just one spot accessible from the Picnic island (sandbank).

Mathiveri is a wonderful little island with beautiful long white sandy beaches and plenty of greenery! The palm trees are just amazing. It has four great restaurants with affordable and delicious meals, a few great shops and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Also loved the sandy streets, harbour, shark view point - each part of the island has something to offer. People are nice and friendly and they all speak English.

Mathiveri is one of the better Maldivian islands.
Mathiveri is one of the better Maldivian islands. We ate in the Second Home restaurant - delicious food, quite low prices and good service. You can get around the island rather easily, considering it's size. Definitely recommend to visit the Picnic Island. It's a very picturesque location and the view of the sunrises is absolutely stunning from there. The bikini beach is also perfect. Just a little warning - don't go to the beaches at night, there are a lot of crabs.

Mathiveri is a breathtaking island, however, the beach for the locals is so much more beautiful than the rocky one for the tourists. Therefore, who wants a real Maldives-experience has to visit the little island nearby, the getting there is a bit complicated yet managable. There aren't a lot of programs, it truly is a place to relax and switch off. The best restaurant is Mosu Kitchen in our opinion, you can find a variety of dishes there

+Sand island can be accessed by a short swim (if a good swimmer)
-3 restaurants (relatively cheap, but food is not too delicious and service slow, not many local dishes on menu). Try short eats!
