The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
Christiansted boardwalk had plenty of restaurants and bars.

For breakfast we recommend Christine.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Bombay.
Without a car travel is difficult. The cars were all rented when we arrived and there were none available. The taxi drivers change their rates and you always feel like you’re being hustled. We were less than 2 miles from the boardwalk and they wanted $40.00 each way. The driver $200 for a ride to and from Pointe Uddell.

If you want to have a Caribbean vacation on an uncrowded island, St. Croix is for you. We enjoyed staying in Christiansted, which is the larger of the main two cities. We came to scuba dive, and the diving didn't disappoint. I would have to say, however, the island doesn't have as much going on as maybe St. Thomas, but this was fine with us. We didn't eat in any restaurants, but that was a personal preference; we rented an apartment, sourced and cooked all of our meals. I would say Christiansted isn't necessarily that easy to get around in, you need a car -- we rented one but it's left-side driving which can be frustrating and confusing at times (we even witnessed a very bad accident while there). A lot of people, probably tourists, forget which side and end driving down the middle in a lot of places. The roads are also not in the greatest shape, not well-marked and rather narrow. However, we only drove so we could get to the dive boats.

Good snorkeling areas on the West End of the island (West Bay/Sand Castle, Dorsch, Rainbow Beach .
Scuba was great at Cane Bay and the Pier.
For a beautiful pristine beach with snorkeling, head to Mermaid Beach at Buccaneer!! Gorgeous and friendly staff!
The terrain was hills and curvy so be careful when driving on the left side of the road. A lot of the roads do not have the brush cut back and hard to see around.
The rain forest was beautiful and the beer drinking pigs were fun to watch (didn't like the hamburgers, they had an extremely funny taste to them).
You MUST do the BIO BAY! Absolute amazing experience and highly recommend the guys are Bush Tribe.
Botanical Gardens was pretty but small.
Jungle James petting zoo was small but interesting to hear how his family lives off the land.
Buck Island was a fun trip, snorkeling ok but mostly dead coral that hasn't revived yet. Turtle Beach is gorgeous but primitive.

A very interesting place with lots of history and amazing restaurants - many hidden away - and with nearby beaches and stunning scenery. Parts of town are a little rough, but people are friendly. Reminded us of New Orleans. Take a day-long boat trip with Big Beard - not to be missed. Our stay at the Buccaneer Resort was fantastic! Rent a car so you can check out the whole island

Great location on the boardwalk near all activities.
Great location on the boardwalk near all activities. Many restaurants, bars, historical buildings, fort, streets and excursions to see, experience and take part of. This is an old historic city on a picturesque island with a multitude of things to do. Our hotel was in a great location but lacking the renovated pool and outdoor space. When looking for a great island tour contact Jacobs Tours.

Be flexible.
Be flexible. Make plans for dinner early in the day, as web-based information for restaurants is not always correct. Many places have either closed or have limited hours or staff. The roads of St Croix are not predictable. Drive slow and be aware of potholes or severe problems with roads. The people of St Croix are friendly, and try their best to be accommodating, but sometimes they can't do what you were expecting. It's a beautiful island and the weather is lovely.

This location was great for us! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the beach access a few steps away from the hotel. The boat people who took us to Christiansted were always friendly and on point. Overall great experience.
Gabrielle was a very gracious host and made me feel very welcome. Her apartments are very spacious and artistically decorated. The location was only a few minute walk to the main bars and restaurants on the boardwalk in Christiansted.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful! Locationwise it is a very good spot in Christiansted, and even if there is music at the bars you dont get disturbed from it in the room.
I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the room in general as well as the location of the hotel. I also liked the comfort of the bed and the room on a whole.
