Location is great, close to the beach and my favorite little eatery Thai Dara in walking distance. However, it’s right on PCH so super loud if you like to sleep with an open window.

We were in Dana Point the day after New Years Eve.
We were in Dana Point the day after New Years Eve. The Christmas decorations on trees, businesses and the harbor are fantastic. Every server, whether mid day appetizers or dinner were the best .... ever. Made you feel like family. Dana Point is one of the best places we've been. Chart House is truly a great dining experience. Don't miss visiting the Sea Institute or taking a stroll out to the jetty.

Great restaurants with beautiful views down at the harbor.
Great restaurants with beautiful views down at the harbor. Beautiful beaches with easy access and affordable parking. We discovered the Ocean Institute, which wasn't open during the week, but we would definitely like to return to visit it and go on one of their tall ship tours.

Husband and I stayed one night to catch a fishing charter scheduled for the following morning. The location was perfect... Walking distance to food, shopping, marina and beaches... Rooms were clean and the staff was polite and helpful... Other than the few issues listed below, we would definitely stay here again and recommend others give it a try...
* The location of our room on the second floor, left us with no privacy, Unless we kept the drapes drawn, hotel guests stepping off the elevator were able to see directly into our room...
*Room key issues- Need to update system. Locked out twice...
*Paying to park in hotel parking lot

Lovely place to stay for decent rates and nice staff and pool! Clean and quick to all sites from Newport to San Diego. Stayed 40 years ago and it's the same great place. Nice some things stay the same. Must eat at top of Dana Point at Restaurant overlooking the Bay. Forgot name but really great prices for food and the normal price of California.

Beautiful location and a quaint boutique hotel.
The only con was the TV wasn’t working even after resetting and had very few channels and there is no internal kiosk for emergency needs such as pain medication. Otherwise, a beautiful and peaceful place with nice staff.
The hotel is in a great location and the rooms with pool view are a good size. The hotel is graded accurately and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast good.
