My son booked a room for me, my partner, and my grandson, but the room was too small for the three of us. They tried to charge us for an extra bed, even though we had already paid more for a room meant for three people. After some back-and-forth, they finally agreed to provide the bed for free. However, the whole experience was unpleasant and shouldn't have happened, as we had already paid for a room for three.

Perfect for a solo traveller or couple needing an airport overnight stay in Zagreb.
I liked how the host picked me up and dropped me off at the airport for a reasonable additional cost. He was friendly and pointed out where I could buy necessities and a good quality local bistro, both about 2 minutes walk away. The room and en suite were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a small fridge, decent WiFi and an electric jug, with cup, saucer, teaspoon and glass, plus a sachet of 3-in-1 instant coffee (1 person, 1 night ). A small grassed garden out back. Although there was no air con, a large, quiet but effective standing fan is provided. The room also had blinds and windows that could securely let in fresh air while keeping out direct sunlight and most flying insects (none came inside). The village is very quiet and safe to walk around. I had a great sleep and a good, reasonably priced meal at the bistro.
There was a powerful-looking heater but at this time of year I was more concerned about keeping the room cool. It is smoke free and was well aired when I walked in. Closeness to the airport without airport noise or fumes is very handy.
The one negative was I found the room key a very simple shape, but still a bit tricky to lock from the inside. The ensuite bathroom door is hard to fully close, but it closes almost completely so is ok for privacy between a couple. I could perhaps have shut it completely, but I didn't want to force it, especially as I was staying alone and didn't need to lock it.

Stay in this town only if you need to be close to the airport for a very early morning flight. There is a bus 290 which takes you from Zagreb airport to Trg Krestnova which is centrally located in zagreb. Takes 30 minutes and costs 93 cents. Much better option to stay in Zagreb than Velika Gorica, where there is almost nothing to do.

Small town with pretty much nothing to do as it is an airport suburb of Zagreb. Most hotels provide accommodations to guests arriving to or leaving from nearby Zagreb airport, for which the town is very convenient.

Very close to airport for late/ early arrival / departure. Great clear instructions given re key to room. Breakfast was good. Very large room where tables were well distanced from each other. Very comfortable bed though very low to ground. Bathroom was beautiful with great walk in shower. Lovely additions to bathroom accessories. Everything thought of. Only drawback no water in room. Staff extremely helpful prior to arrival and while at the hotel. Great communication re taxi which was booked through hotel to pick up from airport. Very professional staff.

Thais is the town where the Zagreb International Airport is...
Thais is the town where the Zagreb International Airport is located. It is a better option if f you don't want to spend time and $ comuting from Zagreb. If you want to enjoy Zagreb's city life, I suggest you stay there.
My experience at Hotel Garden Hill was wonderful! The food at the restaurant was delicious and satisfying. Each meal was expertly prepared with care, and the restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made dining a pleasure. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would gladly return for another visit.
Free airport shuttle is limited to early morning (4:30 and 5:30 if I remember correctly) which worked well for me but is something to keep in mind.
Hotel is close to the airport so a taxi/uber/bolt is cheaper than their shuttle at other times, if you can get one.
Zeliijka the owner was very kind with me. I arrived at the midnight and she helped me how to reach to the hotel from the Airport. She came with her car to take me from the Airport. In the morning she offered me a bike for free to go around Velika Gorica.
This is really a difficult place to deal with when you arrive at midnight and you don’t speak Croatian. Even our taxi driver who is from Croatia couldn’t help us. We had. To find a different hotel to stay in that night.
