Stara Zagora is a lovely city to spend time in. Has everything you need (once you know where to go!). Lots of bars and restaurants with a variety of food choices. A great place to eat is Uniquato and for desserts, Nedelya cafe is a must!
The high street is clean, always busy, fun for people watching. There are lots of parks in the city and it is full of different stores and a lot of second hand clothes shops for people who enjoy shopping!

Perfect place for both a short and a longer holiday - musts are the Roman forum and at least the nearby history museum and art gallery. The Neolithic dwellings museum is a walking distance away from the centre. The pedestrian and bazaar areas are full of nice cafes and restaurants. There are several beautiful parks in Stara Zagora worth a visit. The city has a pleasant atmosphere and people are friendly and helpful.

I'm guessing people have a specific reason to go there. I had one, which was travelling and performing with the choir I'm in. I really liked Stara Zagora and I would go back again. Lots of parks and green spaces. Lovely cafes and restaurants. Really useful market and shops. Lots of walks to go on. Easy to get to countryside.

I was there for 1 night for business. The hotel is in a horrible place between a building site, a housing estate and behind a damp yard and a dilapidated facade. It looks nothing like on the photo and the proprietors should be fined for deformation. I hwve taken photographs as an evidence. However, I know the booking.com will do nothing to refind my money, so i am not going to fight for my losses. I am a business partner on booking.com and my rooms are impeccable and luxurious compared to this hotel.

Lovely town with lots of historical sites, parks, nice walking areas and spa facilities with mineral water nearby. Exceptional museums: Regional History Museum, Museum of Neolithic Dwellings, Museum of Religion, etc. The local state opera is great too.

This was not our first visit to the Jack Family Hotel, as the location is very convenient for us while travelling across Bulgaria to the Black Sea coast. It is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Stara Zagora, and the rooms are clean. We stayed in the newer cabin-type rooms in the back, which are compact but adequate, with a big Samsung TV.
The hotel also has two high-class clay tennis courts which other guests were using.
This property is outstanding and I would use it again for a stay in Stara Zagora, you can park up and everything is within easy walking distance. We both have restricted mobility so not able to do long walks. This location meant we did not need to.
Would highly recommend this property
