Excellent location - in the center, next to the pedestrian zone, at a walking distance from all landmarks. Easily accessible by car, has an underground garage and public parking nearby. The rooms are clean and cozy, although a bit small. The breakfast is on demand, several options, all abundant and tasty. The staff are friendly.
Hotel Palas is located 100 metres from the centre of Kazanlak, and offers an on-site restaurant with international dishes and a terrace in the garden, and an elegant lobby bar.

We spent a night in a cozy family studio, definitely equipped with everything needed to make even a longer stay very pleasant. It is clean, roomy, and perfectly located in a place both quiet, and conveniently close the city park and most of the interesting places to see in Kazanlak.

Kazanluk is an amazing town, very clean and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. It is close to the Buzludja and Freedom monuments, the Koprinka Dam and only an hour's drive to the Etar Ethnological village. The town itself offers plenty of small museums, a fantastic park and lots of other things for people to do.

Great place for at least 2-3 days.
Great place for at least 2-3 days. Every season is interesting. People are very nice. The ladies in this town are very stylish. Surprisingly there is a variety of restaurants - not only traditional Bulgarian mehana. For example greek restaurant Meraki serves 5-star meals! The valley of the thracian kings is worth visiting.

Kazanlŭk does not appear to be a tourist centre which is a pity because it has a lot to offer to hight intelligence tourists. it would certainly not suit the type of holiday maker who wishes to sit on a beach and "enjoy a low-IQ holiday."

First, I recommend to visit the Tourist Office and get the free map of the city. The city's most important places to visit are the famous Thracian tomb and the park around it, and several museums and ancient houses. The city is the center of the rose-growing industry that produces rose oil, rose jam, perfume etc. Be sure to visit the town of Shipka, that has an important church and another relevant Thracian tomb. For people who love to hike, the city is an excellent starting point (Shipka peak, Buzludzha monument, etc). In the city you find cheap and excellent restaurants. Kazanlŭk is cleaner than most Bulgarian cities that I have visited.

We stayed in Kazanluk for the epress purpose of sightseeing and were not disappointed. The town itself is lively, plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes to choose from and everyone we met was really friendly. We were within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to see and would recommend travelers to the area visit Koprinka Dam, the village of Shipka to see the Memorial Church, Buzludja monument and the Freedom memorial. The furthest point, Buzludja, could be reached in under an hour up a long snaking pass, the road isn't that great in places though.
Here you can also find the Valley of the Thracian Kings - lots of tombs open to the public - and in May/June, the Rose Festival takes place.
The hotel is new, very clean and spacious room. Good food, we ate at two restaurants-one with Balkan and the other with European cuisine. Pools are clean and there is an outdoor pool.
Stay for the annual peak day for rose festival. This hotel is price acceptable and good location one. Beside the park where have stalls and stage for cultural performance.
