Fabulous location and incredible staff. Included Breakfast was a stress free start to the day. We paid extra for the sitting room expanded room and it was worth it for the extra space, which is unusual for Europe.

Hvar is the largest city on the Croatian island of the same name within the Adriatic Sea. The wildly undulating coastline formed a natural harbour here, a fact which didn’t go unnoticed by the Venetians, who captured it as part of their empire. The Venetian Fortress sits atop a hill and 13th-century ramparts descend to the old town.
Another castle from Napoleonic times is on a different hill offering beautiful views over red roofs towards the offshore Pakleni islands sheltering the port. Ferries link Hvar to neighbouring Brač and Vis islands, Split and Ancona in Italy.
Given the size of the city, the amount of Hvar accommodation is staggering, and Booking.com offers everything from luxury hotels with pools to cheap guest houses and beachfront apartments. Although most beaches are rocky, their scenic setting and warm turquoise waters are still a draw.
At the heart of the city is the largest square in Dalmatia. Restaurants and bars spill out onto its cobbles, ending at St Stephen’s Cathedral with its see-through belltower. Around the same time the cathedral was going up, one of Europe’s oldest theatres was constructed in the waterfront Arsenal. The Loggia is the only remain of the Governor’s Palace, and the Hvar Heritage Museum helps to put all this in context.
We liked the quick easy access to Pakleni Islands.
We liked the quick easy access to Pakleni Islands. We had 6 teenagers with us and they loved the speed boat ride over to islands and loved swimming in different bays. We could have spent more time on Hvar and taken scooters around island

Hvar is a beautiful place, full of character. On an evening it’s really busy around the bars and restaurants. Mostly young people. We did eat well and there’s plenty of choice. You may have to book certain restaurants but we were ok.

Hvar is a large island for a small island, so having a car is a nice bonus. There are Hvar island buses to get you around. I would nit bike or walk from town to town or hamlet== the roads are too narrow. Tons of boat rides will offer trips to other slands and beaches at affordables prices, but pkease go to Stari Grad. Yes, Hvar is very beautiful, but Stari Grad was the gem for me. The overllooked gem!
There are so many inlets, beaches, hamlets, ancient ruins, and the people are friendly and kind. The seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious, as is the olive oil. Many towns and houses make their own wine and grappa, and do not forget the lavender! What a pleasure. I hope ti return again.

Hvar, both the island and the city, is rich in fascinating history and offers excellent dining options. The ambience and atmosphere of Dalmatian towns are wonderful. For the best beach experience, consider taking a taxi boat (10€ per person) for day trips to the Paklinski Islands. Mlini is a standout spot thanks to its restaurant serving fresh fish and organic vegetables. Alternatively, Pokonji Dol Beach or Dubovica are excellent choices.

Wonderful Stay in a Central Location Hvar❤️
Wonderful Stay in a Central Location Hvar❤️
I stayed at Sanja's lovely apartment for three nights during my vacation trip to craoatia. The overall experience was excellent.
The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of hvar, close to major attractions, and fantastic dining options. It was easy to navigate the city from this central spot.
Check-in was seamless; Sanja provided clear instructions, and there was a convenient self-check-in option. She was very responsive and checked in with me to ensure everything was going smoothly.
The apartment itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the living area was spacious, providing a perfect place to relax after long meetings. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary appliances, making it easy to prepare meals.
Sanja is an outstanding host. She responded promptly to my inquiries and offered great local tips, including a nearby café that became my go-to breakfast spot.
Overall, the stay was exceptional, and the value for money was superb. The only minor suggestion would be to have washer and dryer . I highly recommend Sanja's apartment to anyone visiting Hvar and would definitely stay here again.

Hike to Hvar fortress with the stunning view on the bay and water around sunset is totally worth it. I loved the Hvar theater and the clock tower as well. Really walkable city and easy to hop on water taxis to go to neighboring islands.
I would avoid the island hopping tours to the Blue cave. Overpriced and waste of time.
I loved eating at Konoba Menego; really rustic restaurant interior, good food, and super friendly waitstaff. Restaurant Macondo is also good for food.
Amazing apartment with incredible views and facilities.
We were familiar with the location as we stayed at Hotel Podstine (next door) on a previous visit to Hvar. As Podstine had not opened yet, we stayed at Shades of Blue instead which in hindsight worked out perfectly.
The water (and a great swimming spot) is easily accessible down the stairs and Hvar Old Town is a short and scenic walk around the coastal path.
Zoran and his family were very welcoming and make checking in and out very easy.
A beautiful hotel just a few minutes walk from where the ferry docks in Hvar. A very warm welcome and an excellent room with two balconies overlooking the harbour provided the perfect opportunity to sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Super comfy bed and well appointed throughout. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Will be very happy to return.
Beautiful location on Milna Beach. Comfortable bed. Great shower . I think it has been recently renovated as the hotel was very clean and fresh. Good buffet breakfast which we could eat next to the beach. Free pick up from Hvar on arrival/ departure
Lovely hotel, great food, stunning location, staff were excellent. Room was on the smaller side but you get plenty of storage so it’s not a problem at all. Lovely stroll into Hvar!
Modern hotel, gorgeous pool area with pool bar, walking distance to the main area of restaurants and bars. No lift which might make it difficult for some. Would recommend!
