Toronto is a city full of things to do. Amazing museums, such as the ROM and the Canadian textile museum. Great restuarants of many ethnicities. Public transport was easy to use, but have change for the buses.

Toronto is a big city with many things to see and do.
Toronto is a big city with many things to see and do. Plenty of restaurants and bars. It has an entertainment district, plenty of museums including the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Evvia restaurant on Simcoe is great for breakfast. Pho Hung on Spadina is great for noodle soup.
On the downside, traffic is a huge issue in Toronto. Whether you are on the highways or main streets, except backups. When using GPS, make sure click on “avoid toll roads.” That way, you won’t get a bill in the mail from Canada. Use the roads with green signs (which are free) while the blue signed ones aren’t free.

Great city to visit.
Great city to visit. Lots of fun things to do - Hockey Hall of Fame, football games (Go Argos!), baseball, hockey, basketball.... And once you get out of the city, the surrounding cities (North York, Brampton, Mississauga, Scarborough, etc) are NOT small towns. Most are over 500,000 population, themselves.
Transit is everywhere downtown, but the drive is easy. The only drawback is the traffic. Don Mills Parkway and the 401 are always busy, and there is always a delay.
But Toronto is great. :)

Toronto is a wonderful city with lots of activities and easy to get around. Taxis and Uber are affordable and the subway and public transit is easy to use.
Toronto has a bit of a homeless problem, and many of the homeless seemed to have mental health or addiction issues, so although I felt safe, I did not walk around after dark, and took taxis instead of the subway at night.
There are lots of shopping opportunities and excellent restaurants, and a good city to explore during the summer days.

Everything on your doorstep, subway very easy to manage, people soooo friendly. One negative I wouldn't visit niagra falls again very tacky with high prices, train service the one in morning next service nine thirty at night, so really got ripped off 👍. Found a very nasty knife/blade at niagra train station. Younge street the best.

If you can solve the issue of accomodation and traffic then you can enjoy Toronto. More likely you would enjoy visiting a number of sites if you don't drive your own car, by taking public transport and having lots of time.
What I liked is that the subway nr. 1 is literally under the hotel and you can get to downtown Toronto in ab. 40 minutes (to Union station for ex.) without the need to change to another line.
The room is nice and comfortable and there is a Nespresso machine with free coffee in the room.
I also liked that there are plenty of food options nearby (Greek fast food, pizza, Subway, Starbucks, Asian food), a local supermarket Loblaw is next door, so you can do your shopping easily. There is also a cinema close.
The apartment is absolutely charming. My gf is very picky when it comes to accommodation, and if she is gaga about a place, it means twice as much as for anyone else. As a graduate from UofT from 40 years ago and resident outside Canada, it was wonderful to walk down memory lane. Everything you want from downtown Toronto is close by. I never met Margie, but what the heck, that's what we have social media for.
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was in a prime location right near the train station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I loved that they had plenty of amenities. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again!
The hotel is situates perfect downtown Toronto. When we weren’t walking we used the subway and found there was a direct access from the subway to the hotel. The room was very nice, but a little tiny for 3 adults and a child as we were. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
