The bathroom was very dirty, old soap left in shower. The bathroom sink would not drain, the bedspreads were filthy.

Large and clean rooms. The cleaning service was provided daily. Breakfast was very tasty with good options. It is very reasonably priced for its quality. I liked the fact that there were fountains for drinking water and ice makers. I would recommend it for visits to Saint John.

I was pleasantly surprised when we went into the room. We had a full sized fridge, stove, dishes and glasses, pots and pans, a dishwasher. My favorite was the fireplace. The room was big and comfortably set up. The bed was very comfortable. Our stay of 3 nights, we had different delicious hot breakfasts each morning. They supplied bottled waters in the room.l will definitely stay here again for our next visit to New Brunswick.
The staff were extremely friendly.

Having a laundry available for guests was very welcome - and, unfortunately, very rare. Perhaps other people don't like to change clothes and be clean when they travel? Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable but a bit high for getting in and out. The hotel is on a busy road but we had no traffic noise.

The landscape architecture on Market Square Warf was outstanding! The historical buildings were amazing. The restaurants and pubs at Market Square and downtown were plentiful and offered a lot of entertainment and food choices. I liked the Container Market, how innovative. Just really like the vibe of Saint John and will certainly return for a longer visit.

Must see the tidal impacts of the Ocean versus St John River - Go see an hour or two prior to low or high tides. The swirling river, the fish feast for the many birds and even seals, and the scenery behind. Nice restaurant that has a lookout by the main (non-freeway) bridge coming into town from the west. Also nearby, off FallsView Street, see the river activity from Fall View Park from the east side of the river. Colors galore for the sunrise looking west at the power plant across the river.
Old Town restaurants are nice, harbor area is also very interesting. Watched one monster cruise ship depart, but understand harbor can hold as many as 3 cruise ships.
Beautiful Victorian-era-type houses and very nice walks to be had.
Probably much more to see!

Beautiful place, lots of history, people were warm and friendly, food was surprisingly good, everything was 10 mins drive, loved it. Probably will move there for retirement. Abit of a homeless issue but not in all areas of the city.

Uptown Saint John will remind the travelers about the brief but glorious past of the city. There are many magnificent buildings very well preserved , without the 'modern' improvements. The town is quiet , people are nice and polite and the whole experience made me wonder: How did we go from this , to plastic siding ? ... :)

The staff did not properly handle a potentially dangerous...
The staff did not properly handle a potentially dangerous situation!! At about 1AM on our first night, the night manager knocked on the door of the guest in the adjacent room. There was a confrontation which lasted about 45 minutes. After the staff left, the guest continue rant and rave and at several times he uttered' "I'll burn this place down". The loud and unruly behavior lasted to about 4AM. On the second night of our stay, we returned to our room after dinner to find the unruly guest was still there and would be staying another night. We went to the service desk and asked to be moved so we could enjoy the evening in peace and quiet but were told 'there were no more rooms'. Shortly after our request for a new room, one of the staff members confronted the guest next door about noise and a loud and belligerent conversation ensued. During this exchange, several racial slurs were made by the "guest" towards the staff member as well as a death threat. This exchange lasted about 45 minutes until the staff member returned to the office. At this time, the "guest" was extremely agitated and apparently had taken offense to the fact we had requested a different room. For the next 3 hours, the "guest" would stand outside our room in the parking lot and taunt and threaten us. At about 1AM he eventually quieted down but needless to say; it was a very uncomfortable situation for us! In my opinion, the police should have been called on the first night

We actually did not get a chance to stay at this hotel because booking.com processed our reservation when the hotel was already completely booked. But thankfully to the young lady on reception, we got a room at the other hotel. The lady took a moment to call that hotel and ask them to hold a room for us for that night. Very nice and kind of her. Exceptional customer service!
This is a 146 year old house, that is listed as part of a heritage walk in Saint John, so you need to keep that in mind. The room was clean, very large, with a firm bed(but comfortable), and a modern bathroom. Out hosts were simply wonderful, and treated us almost like family. The location is excellent for just walking the downtown.
This was a self-contained apartment located in the perfect location in what is called uptown Saint John. It is located beside the best pizza restaurant in the city and a gym/acquatic centre on the opposite side of the road. Parking was no problem.
Breakfast was good, alibet very busy wih sports teams. I think if sports teams are in the hotel, guests shoud be informed that Bfast will be very busy or that teams have a special time for bfast, then other guests can choose times to go.
Great location for accessing all that old Saint John has to offer, friendly and helpful staff, and all the facilities you need in a hotel....what's not to like!
