It was my second time staying with Kanata Inns and they do not disappoint. I stayed in the king bed suite and I found it to be very, very comfortable (and a great value for the price).
Breakfast was good. Cannot complain. You are a twenty five minute drive from Panorama ski resort and within twenty minutes you are close to Radium or Fairmont Hot Springs.
I would definitely stay with Kanata Inn the next time I go to Invermere.

Small town with plenty of shops and places to eat or drink.
Small town with plenty of shops and places to eat or drink. The hikes nearby are amazing eg Along the Johnson. Lots of hot springs within a hour’s drive. The drive to Panorama is tight but pretty cool too.

I love going to Invermere but this time Their pride stuff was a little over the top . Pride flags all over I would have liked to ask what they were proud of . The beautiful nature God created ?? The friendliness of local merchants? The exclusion of people with different views and morals ? I do hope their are as many Canada flags up for Canada Day celebration to remember the hard work our ancestors did to develop this country to make it glorious and free . Let’s keep it free .

A touristy but beautiful little town with lots of character.
A touristy but beautiful little town with lots of character. The core is very safe and walkable. Staff in restaurants and shops were, without exception, friendly & helpful. People in Columbia Cycle spent a lot of time talking with us, even though we couldn't actually rent from them. (Still might come back to buy, though, even if we live 5 hours away, just because they were so great!)
For our mid-September visit, Invermere seemed to have partially "rolled up the sidewalks and gone to bed". All the bike shops and many of the businesses closed on Sundays & Mondays, even though this was one of their busier weekend in the year. You have to admire a town that seems to choose quality of life over the almighty dollar, but as a visitor, it can be a bit surprising and inconvenient if you aren't prepared.
Good South Asian food in the Spice Hut.
Ullr was highly recommended several times, but every time we went there, the line-up was out the door. Would be worth checking the place out.
Good beer at the Arrowhead craft brewery/pub. Line-up out the door at the Taynton Bay (small, local) distillery, so they must be doing something right too: we just couldn't get in to confirm it.

Invermere is beautiful, the public beach is beautiful with park and spray park and little food stand- you can easily spend a whole day with the family. The town has VERY limited dinner options especially for families. So reserve or visit grocery stores ahead of time.

Perfect location! Just a short walk to the beach and shops.
Perfect location! Just a short walk to the beach and shops. There is a liquor store attached to the Inn which is so convenient. There is an amazing bakery just a short distance up the street. Huckleberry’s Family restaurant is over the hill and they have really great food at a reasonable price.
The locals are very friendly and accommodating. It was very easy for my daughter to make friends with the local teenagers who were welcoming and nice. They were all having a great time on the dock each day we were there.
The Oriental Palace was half decent and reasonably priced. They don’t have their buffet due to covid but are bringing it back in the future.
The Pharmasave has everything you need and is not far at all from the Inn.
I really enjoyed Invermere and can’t wait to return.

Nice resort, the room was spacious and nice. The hotel has a nice restaurant where you can have breakfast or dinner. Liked the outdoor pool, it had a great temp. And the parkade. Staff at the reception was friendly.
Everything was great. The staff were very helpful. Holly did her best to get my room extended for another night despite the hotel being fully booked. We would love to stay here again.
