The town was just the right size for a three day visit.
The town was just the right size for a three day visit. We had our dog with us so no museums or galleries were on our list but we were welcome everywhere else.
We'd highly recommend Víno Kára (only food available are meat and cheese plates) and Winebar Chatka for their wines (but not for food at all).

We came to hotel Morava whit out problems in center of small square and everything was very nicely set up , room was excellent, very spacious, quiet and all in excellent condition - building is very old - historically but rooms and service up to date, restaurant where was breakfast buffet had everything what we wanted and needed , choice and all very nicely served
WE visited also chateau, caves, surroundings and maybe we needed more days to see all
We also took small trip to not far situated Mikulov, Lednice and Valtice - huge vinery and historical sites - I was there few times already - always happy to come back and get taste of happiness

Parking,breakfast and position is allright.
Check in(self service mostly) without any (not Czeh)language speaking lady was difficult,mostly automatic.
Room was a single one which we have received for two persons!

a nice little Czech town once a very important medieaval urban centre, close to the wine areas on both sides of the Czech/Austrian border, only a little over one hour from Vienna, will have to come back in the summer to see the famous romanesque rotunda

It's a quick jaunt from Vienna, ergo a convenient way to get some Czech culture. My hunch is Telc would be a better trip but it's hard to reach. The town is good for 1-2 nights. We stayed two nights in early spring. The town seemed to be a tad sleepy even though it was Easter week. It made it seem like two nights was pushing it. But the town is pretty and I can see it being very interesting with nicer weather. Brush up on your German as there was not much English spoken.

Beautiful historical town with long tradition of wine making...
Beautiful historical town with long tradition of wine making. Historical landmarks include magnificent St. Nicholas church, nearby St. Wenceslas chapel with the terrace that overlooks the river valley. Worth visiting is Znojmo Underground tour under the city, nearby Luka with former Praemonstratensis monastery and basilica, still in use for mass and open for tours. Former monastery now belongs to the local wine making company. In fact there is several larger wine producing businesses and plenty of smaller family businesses. Next to the city is National Park mostly surrounding the river bank with wine yards.

Close to the train station is easy to reach even by feet and is located close to the village centre.
The bedroom was clean, comfortable and well organized, Restaurant well designed in the mobilia, food was great/carefully prepared and the breakfast with a complimentary piece of cake, bread and Juice was very surprising. Staff was kind and available, completing the experience and giving even more valle for the money/hotel balance.
Definetely a must in the area.

Very cozy, modern and clean hotel. Comfortable beds, cleanliness. Pleasant service staff, delicious breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the sparkling wine at breakfast. We received a bottle of wine as a gift. Thanks, until next time😊
We had two apartments. Great beds, nice kitchen, good shower. Very quiet. A great view of Znojmo. About a 15/20 minute walk to the centre, uphill, so be prepared. Definitely Recommended!
