One of Poland’s oldest cities and a birthplace of the Polish nation, Poznan is the capital city of the Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region. Famous for international trade fairs, high quality shopping and popular festivals, this city is on the rise!
Its colourful medieval Old Town flourishes with dozens of bars, cafés and pubs open until the early hours of the morning. During warm days, you can sit in one of the pretty beer gardens and admire the architecture and the world going by.
For something different, enjoy Europe’s only steam-hauled passenger train and ride to Greater Poland National Park. Alternatively, visit the reconstructed brewery and indulge in shopping, as the Old Brewery is now one of the world’s best shopping malls.
Poznan lies halfway between Berlin and Warsaw and perfectly combines the old and the new, from Ostrow Tumski with its beautiful St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cathedral, to the glass and steel of Poznan International Fair and the city's skyscrapers.
Booking.com has a wide range of accommodation in Poznan to fit all your needs, from convenient hotels, to stylish apartments and budget hostels. So whenever you happen to arrive at Poznan Lawica Airport, you’re only minutes away from exploring this fascinating city.

You definitely need the internet to look up public transport, which is excellent and cheap, as the city is spread out with some attractions out on the outskirts. Uber and other taxis are available and good value. The old town as many bars, restaurants, a lot serving good value Polish fayre, good idea to book, as some can be busy at the weekends. We visited a number of craft ale bars, most of which are situated just off the main square. We also visited a brewery on the edge of the city. Cathedral Island and the nearby district of Sodrek are worth a visit.

A beautiful, friendly and vibrant city full of many...
A beautiful, friendly and vibrant city full of many attractions. The nightlife, which was what our travel was focused on, was not dull, we had a great night in Saturday in Hokus Pokus, where we sang English language and polish karaoke songs with a wonderful group of people. We were treated to wonderful hospitality, perhaps due to our behaviour in antithesis of the general English men who were wandering the streets, but by and large we had a great weekend celebrating our friends engagement.
I would absolutely go again, and probably for much longer. There were many historic sites that called my attention which didn't fit into our travel purpose, and so many friendly and interesting locals who it would have been great to get to know better.
Overall, I could have spent a weekend just wandering the streets of Poznan, admiring the cared for streets, the stunning architecture and varied street fashion of visitors and locals alike. My particular highlight was LAVENDA, a cafe which we stopped at on our final morning. The polish breakfast was hearty and flavourful, and the lavender tea was sweet and delicate, a welcome respite from my weekend of revelry.

Beautiful city with plenty to do over a long weekend.
Beautiful city with plenty to do over a long weekend. We enjoyed the local food very much and would recommend it to other travellers. We booked a couple of activities like the Undercover Poznan and the local croissant making workshop, both were great fun.

Beautiful city for a long weekend of history, architecture,...
Beautiful city for a long weekend of history, architecture, and eating and drinking. We spent a leisurely day each in the old town, cathedral island and the Kaiser's Castle/university area. Lots of green spaces, cafe culture and shopping. Ate at low to mid-priced restaurants and enjoyed every meal.
Location is perfect, right next to Stary Browar shopping mall; the Old Town (Stary Rynek) is around 15 minutes walk. The central railway station (where the airport bus arrives) is also very close, 10 mins walk or 1-2 stops via tramway. Hotel Traffic is ideal for a short citybreak, very clean and comfortable. I did not ask for breakfast, so no experience.
There was no fridge in the room but the hotel offers a commonly used, fully equipped kitchen, so for myself it was not a tragedy. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Everything was perfect, They gave me my room earlier, free welcome drink, amazing staff in the reception especially in the morning shift the boy with black hair,he was so gentle. My room was big and nice, the breakfast was amazing super delicious and so many opinions and the boy who is host in the restaurant he was super friendly.
I stayed in many hotels in Poland,I can say now that Puro is the best hotels in Poland.
We chose this place on the road trip to Germany. We needed just place to sleep so we had no big expectations. But this place exceed our needs. Clean, nice place with welcoming staff. When arrived we were greeted with coffee. For very small payment we got an amazing breakfast, better one than some 5 stars hotels offer. In brief, next time we travel through Poland we will choose this place without any doubts.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Good central location - an easy walk to the Stary Rynek and other main sites, and cafes & restaurants. This is the second B&B Hotel I've stayed in while travelling in Poland - I wish I had booked a few more as they are excellent value.
Staff was very welcoming and friendly, some of them could speak English very well. Very child friendly people. Hotel is 15 minutes to the old town. 30 minutes Uber drive (40plb) to the airport.
