Our room had a balcony and we loved sitting outside . The views of all the other houses up the mountain were amazing from there. The vibe of the town was audible and made us feel very much part of the activities. Our room was great and didn't disappoint.
The hospitality in the morning was outstanding and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast they served us was wonderful, fruit yogurt, jams and also eggs and pancakes and brilliant coffee.
Huge thanks to the receptionist who kindly helped us get our suitcases from the car as there were roadworks in the area.

I would love to reply to my accommodation at
Pazo di Esposende hotel at Ribadavia.
For me I had no choice. It was totally wrong.
Position wrong. Service nil. Bathroom problems.
It has caused a lot of problems leaning into my
cancellations.
I still may have to fly home early.

The hotel was really lovely, it had a lot of character and space inside. My room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything high quality. The bed was super comfortable (I overslept which says it all!), the shower and bathroom were also first class.
At the top of the stairs outside my room was a beautiful, large lounge area, with sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. A really lovely communal space to sit and read, or to pass time with others

Very good but far too much food for us in full breakfast!

Quirky hotel made from stone but in a good location although it was a little hard to find since it was tucked away behind other buildings.
Visiting in mid September some of the restaurants were closed and frankly the food was of lesser standard than elsewhere in northern spain.
Cudillero is a quaint town and very much worth visiting.

We loved Cudillero.
We loved Cudillero. We only had 3 nights but that was not enough. We could easily have stayed for a week as there was so much to do. We explored the village by foot, we ate in many of the wonderful seafood restaurants (Recommend El Remo and Isabel), we bought groceries and shopped and we drove to several nearby Sandy beaches. We went for a drive to the valley of the bears which was very picturesque. However there are also many lovely cities close by that we ran out of time to visit like Oviedo. There was also a rail trail in the Valley of the bears that we would like to come back and do as it looked like a stunning ride.

54 steps from street level to 2nd floor room.
54 steps from street level to 2nd floor room. I am 84 and my wife is 76; she has a mobility problem. No mention was made of the steep climb. I should have asked, maybe, but we do not normally have problems with a reasonable number of stairs.
Car parking. A public park 12 minutes walk away is unacceptable.
The bathroom was very small.
The curtains were could not beheld back because of the 45° slope. So the windows couldn’t be opened. It was over 30° when were there. The curtains had to be close at night as there was a huge public street lamp right outside the bedroom. It was on all night. There was also a public path right outside the bedroom.

Cudillero is a delightful little town with a gorgeous fishing harbor, tourists on summer weekends, a couple of pleasant walks (one with an amazing view of the harbor and the ocean), a few restaurants, and a very pretty 2-star hotel named La Casona de Pio. We enjoyed fresh fish at the Casa de Julio. We also had an excellent lunch at El Cafe del Faro, right next to our hotel.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities required for our overnight stay. Restaurants and bars are a short walk away and there is plenty of choice. I wouldn't class our stay as normal because of the fiesta that was held in Cudillero that night with lots of locals dressed in traditional gear and bands playing until 3:30am but it was a great atmosphere and very enjoyable plus memorable!
What not to like - a beautiful hotel with lovely antiques that makes you feel like you are staying with one of your best friends. Breakfast was a fantastic array of different dishes, all beautifully cooked and served by attentive staff.
The location and staff were superb. So were the croissants at breakfast. The old stone hotel is historic and right in the town next to an excellent restaurant. Having a balcony was great.
