Very modern and comfortable apartment in a quiet area just ten minutes walk from the centre of charming Henningsvaer. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances. The apartment is well soundproofed. There is a good sized TV with streaming options in the bedroom. The bed is very comfortable. The shower is very nice. The check-in involving retrieving a key from a lock box worked very well.

What i like most about Henningsvær is the mountains and the fishermenn were there boats laying very fascinating towards the mountain. The people very approachable and we've been to one store name engelskbrygge if i'm not mistaken or kiramikk making glasses. She was very nice i asked her what is Henningsvær why a lot of tourists people from other countries visit this place. She explained to me on why, due to mountais, old town, the fish hanging all over the place is fascinating, football field and around that place, the rocks is very special, the waves from the ocean, the fishermann boats laying straight to the mountain, small village but full of life. This place is easy to get around.

Very nice town, small but with amazing views.
Very nice town, small but with amazing views. The harbour is great with its view on the very high mountain. They have a unique football stadium built on the rocky island and some very nice shops and cafes.

Recommend the hike up Festvågtind, but it is steep and not for inexperienced hikers. If you look around you might find the street artist Pøbel's work "Pipe smoking fisherman" on one of the silos. Has its own community for climbers.

Henningsvær is as close as you can get to a traditional Norwegian fishing village. We stayed in a "rorbu" (traditional fishermans cabin, modernized to standard of today) and Henningsvær was a perfect base for our stay in Lofoten. We stayed at Fiskekrogen Rorbuer, which was great.
The village has several good restaurants, serving both traditional Norwegian food (you must try stockfish, which is the very base of trade in Henningsvær) and other food as well. Really recommend the Fiskekrogen Restaurant (yes, same as the rorbu in our case). Other cool places is the Klatrekafeen (The Climbing Cafe), which even had a super vibrant DJ one evening and the party hit the roof!! Other cool places, especially for younger people is the Trevarefabrikken, which is both a cafe and a cool place to spend the evening. They even have their own Trevarefestival, a festival with cool music during the summer.
In addition you will find cozy shops and cafes scattered around.
You really MUST go for a fishing-trip with one of the fishing boats. We went with the traditional fishingboat Kveldsol and Captain Håvard. He speaks very good English and knows about the good fishing spots. Don't worry about being cold. Håvard provides warm and cozy survival suits for everybody. All of us got fish, and we cooked our own 8 kg cod in the evening. Unforgettable! We even spotted the sea eagle!

Henningsvær, in my opinion, is one of the best places to stay while visiting Lofoten. You have a small town with valuable amenities and some great restaurants. Plus it is beautiful, charming and the locals were very friendly to us!

Very good choice to visit Hennigsvaer. The check in is automatic (so fast and you may come whenever you want). The hotel is clean and, although the room is not large, perfect for a night over. The hotel is located right at the beginning of town.We used the hotel parking (which is easy to park on) to park our car in order to see the city before check out time.
Beautiful, very new, luxury hotel in a superb, historic little Lofoten fishing village. The hotel staff were so kind and helpful. Lisa in particular was kind and attentive, anticipating our needs and offering positive and generous advice and guidance.
Great location in the heart of Henningsvær. Superb bedrooms, nice mix of new and the traditional factory walls. Great views from the outdoor restaurant area.
