We got held up earlier in the day so arrived after the castle had closed. The best we could do was a sunset walk around the castle (which was pretty, but not the same as touring inside). Unfortunately our schedule dictated an early departure the following day. Will need to go back.

I liked the place but a taxi is not available all the time and if there is it costs too much for example for 5 minutes it costs 15 euros and we had no option but to pay also Bolt app to ride 95% of the time you can't find a ride

Trakai is a super relaxing place to visit.
Trakai is a super relaxing place to visit. Many do it as a day trip from Vilnius, but I spent four nights there. The weather was glorious so there was a boat trip, swimming and plenty of walking. I was there to explore the Karaim and their culture. The castle museum is certainly worth a visit.

It is a small town and during summer the place is packed.
It is a small town and during summer the place is packed. The beach front is full with restoranes and it is not easy to get a table. When you go to the other side of the streat it is much easier to find a table and I suspect, that the food even might be better. The lake is full with different atractions to chose from and all not very expensive. The castle is a place you must see, even if the ticket is a bit expensive. The stores we found were little and not much variety in food or drinks.. I was there for one day only, surely more days are needed in order to explore everything.

We did enjoy the location, which is in walking distance from Trakai castle and a lot of restaurants. However, nearest grocery store is in approximately 2km walking distance. Free parking in this area was also a good benefit. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and kind.
A/C was also working very well. Interior was thoughtful with wonderful view to castle.
Everything ! Starting with the fact these are comfortable bungalows for a competitive price. And the breakfast is one of the best that you can find on Booking.
The bungalow's interior is cozy. The furnitures are modern.
I definitely recommend.

Wonderful lakeside location, superfriendly staff and stylish room. The cosy hotel has an excellent Georgian Cuisine. From the dining terrace you have a great view. Close to Trakai Castle and nice beaches in quiet Trakai. Parking is nearby. Great place to explore Trakai and Vilnius. We spent three nights.
Self check-in, perfect place, perfectly simple Lithuanian homestead in the city. Parking right next to the door. We chose it just for a sleepover, however it's fine for chilling in Trakai for more nights and days for those who aren't five-star-hotel-princesses.
