Great location just off motorway. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Right next door to Sir Jack dining pub, McDonalds and a big Morrisons. Good size well equipped room with nice bathroom. Quiet and pleasant.

Red Lion was clean and tidy, staff were helpful and considerate and happy to help . Parking could be busy , bramble bush beside bin in carpark needs trimming. Otherwise a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

There is nothing in Todwick.
There is nothing in Todwick. You should clearly inform people that the Red Lion is in need of a complete restoration. The hotels response from the reviews, is that the hotel is being refurbished. The hotel is in a very run down condition and has been for a long time, over two years from the reviews. This should be clearly stated on your website !!

We walked into the village with the dog in the evening and the footpaths were wide and safe. There is a garden centre within walking distance from the hotel. We found a pleasant river /streamside walk on day 2. Nice countryside and hotel is not troubled by noise of the roads. Well in room 11 we weren't.
On the second night we ate in the Pub and staff were very accommodating and attentive to food needs. They even gave me some cooked sausages for my dog... Lovely staff even when overstretched and working full on...

Situated nicely for exploring parts of Derbyshire and Yorkshire. Used it as a base for travelling around. Easy to reach from the motorway. Hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, and the food was tasty too.

The breakfast has all top quality produce , served promptly by pleasant staff.
As this was not our first stay here we were suprised that access to the hotel was much improved by the implementation of a roundabout and the main road upgraded to a dual carrigeway.
The only niggle we had is that the shower was not low level entry, but as I did not specify that particular requirement then I was happy(ish)
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was in a great location just off the M1 and the bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing - I ate there twice (dinner and breakfast) and was very happy with what was presented. Overall the restaurant/bar was a good place to be.
It was one of the most friendly hotels I stayed in. It was clean and comfortable, and we had a nice quiet night sleep in a big, comfy bed. The food in the dining room was delicious, and they made a good headge row fizz cocktail.
Recently refurbished to a goood standard. Staff is great! Very helpful and attentive in both, the hotel and restaurant. Lively bar and restaurant with a decent menu.
