was a nice walk along the front good amenities , had a nice meal, only one very sad note its the councils problem but we parked in the multistory carpark close to shops got lost trying to get out and went down the stairs to a dead end and the rubbish and smell of urine made me heave it was disgusting , think the council should have a big clean up there , but otherwise ok

Folkstone has a lot of character.
Folkstone has a lot of character. The old highstreet is very nice with a decent coffee and piece of cake.
Some of the bigger stores have closed down but still nice to look around the town centre.
The harbour and beaches are charming and there is plenty of seafood available and live music on the harbour arm which is a lovely walk.

I had not been before but my favorite place was Hythe. Good coastal walks and basic shops, the same as home. I didn't know it is so hilly, but the local bus was quite good, Plenty of cafes and restaurants. If I was to visit I would choose another hotal.

Folkestone is a lovely quiet little town with some amazing eateries and restaurants. Book a nice hotel, make most of the walks along the beach and you have yourself the perfect romantic weekend destination. I prefer much more to Dover.
The manager & staff made us very welcome and we were delighted with our room which was upgraded to a sea view free of charge. The room was clean and well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. We were also given a quiet room as requested. This hotel is in an amazing position up on the Leas in Folkestone and the price per night was exceptionally good value. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning when we next visit Folkestone. Thank you :)
Nicely furbished, very clean guest house in a pleasant part of Folkestone.
Good access to the front, and for our plans on the east Kent coast.
Pleasant hosts. Welcoming of our dog.
Convenient for Eurotunnel.
Off street parking, if a bit tight.
For a pair of weary cyclists on a tour of Kent, the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. Nice building in a quiet but handy part of Folkestone. The signature cocktails went down very well at the end of the evening
Very clean and well designed hotel right by the sea. Amazing and friendly staff, allowed us to keep our luggage for the day therefore we could enjoy a whole day in Folkestone.
