Breakfast was outstanding. There were several options. The house made bread was hard to resist. The omelettes were delicate and delicious. Even the porridge was lovely.

Beautiful hotel. Plenty of room for parking. Staff was very friendly. Assisted us with our bags to our room. Dinner was amazing, with great views. Breakfast was served in a separate room. Lots of options. Cold and hot items to choose from. Also, the perk for us is we were away from the crazy traffic/town. But this hotel was about 15 minutes away from Portree. So you are close to gift shops, Boots Pharmacy, and restaurants if needed. In Portree you will have to pay to park. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends.
Hame on Skye, 4.5 km from Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye offers lake views of the surrounding Roag Peninsula. Both free WiFi and private parking are available at this property.

We had a wonderful stay at Lochanside. The scenery is beautiful, and the surroundings are incredibly peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. Mark and Ann were incredibly thoughtful, providing fresh bread, milk, and even whisky upon our arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Although we were staying in the same house as them, we had a separate entrance, so we had complete privacy.
The double bed was very soft and comfortable, and the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. I was especially delighted to find a moka pot when I thought we’d only have instant coffee. The living room was cozy and made us feel right at home.
A special thanks to Ann, who came out to greet us when we arrived and also when we left, giving us a warm welcome, explaining the facilities, and ensuring we were safe during our stay. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it!
Overlooking Portree’s quaint harbour, this contemporary hotel serves fresh produce from Skye and the surrounding Scottish Highlands in its restaurant, Dulse & Brose.

We stayed at the cottage and the location is in the city center. Very close to the coop and walking distance to the nice viewpoints
In 15 acres of private grounds, this hotel boasts spectacular views over Portree Bay to the Cuillin Mountain range. It has an award-winning restaurant and a range of whiskies on offer.
Marmalade is grade “B” listed building, dating back to 1817. Boat and distillery trips depart from Portree and the rocky hill The Old Man of Storr is 7 miles away. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

The check inn was easy and staff helpful, Beautiful restaurant and all very close to the center of town. Yet quiet and away from the hustle.
This is a difficult review. We enjoyed our stay. The position was very good and the food was excellent. However in terms of value for money we felt it was far too expensive which took the gloss off our stay. Accommodation on Skye is expensive but this was too much.
We enjoyed our tours we made around the area particularly to Neist Point although the car journey to get there needed a safe pair of hands on the twisty narrow pothole road.

The Croft at Edinbane is a hidden jewel on the Isle of Skye!
The Croft at Edinbane is a hidden jewel on the Isle of Skye! My stay was just for a few days but they were some of the most relaxing of the two weeks I spent traveling through Scotland. But it takes somewhat careful planning to stay there - and not just because the croft was self-catering.
The owners of the croft were helpful and provided me with a lot of information about the local area (restaurants, activities, etc.) but I really needed details about the bus schedule and opening hours for the grocery store in Portree (20 mins away by infrequent bus service). I didn't go out in Edinbane - Portree is the main village in this area with many hotels, shops, restaurants, etc. I highly recommend the Highland Cow Shop for excellent sandwiches, snacks, and coffee.

Difficult to access but fantastic location.
Difficult to access but fantastic location. Disappointed that there were no easy walks from the hotel to appreciate the surrounding area. No option but to eat at hotel due to accessibility but food and service were good. Staff were both friendly and helpful.

Perfect location to explore the west side of skye and also the other parts since it is kind of in the middle of the island. Portree (the main town in the island) is just 25 min drive away. Dunvegan (the nearest town for minor food shopping) is just 15 min drive away.

A perfect spot on the Skye circuit.
A perfect spot on the Skye circuit. In all the present circumstances the staff were genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent - really nothing negative to say about the Inn or its location. Well done staff!
