A perfect getaway for a quiet Christmas. The cottage was cosy and warm and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent. Comfy beds, classy decor and a fantastic host!
We enjoy walking as much as possible, it was great to walk...
We enjoy walking as much as possible, it was great to walk down to Chepstow - there is a good atmosphere in the town - lots of coffee shops. No far to drive for longer wood walks. Close to Monmouth. I was amazed at just how many emails I received from two rivers in one afternoon while walking. It was beginning to bother me there may be a problem with the extra night I’d booked in the morning. Two of the emails said I was successfully cancelled, It was confusing. Staff put it right, they were fantastic.

It is a very pleasant base for touring a wide area by car.
It is a very pleasant base for touring a wide area by car. We enjoyed a lovely meal with family and friends at the Panevino Italian restaurant by the river. It is quite hilly for walking around which might be an issue for some.

I thought Chepstow was absolutely charming.
I thought Chepstow was absolutely charming. As a single female it isn’t easy to travel alone but I ate down on the river front and talked to a few local people who were very friendly. There were plenty of nice restaurants to chose from and the town appeared clean and well looked after. Unfortunately I had didn’t have enough time to look at the Castle and I look forward to coming back again. The weather was also fabulous!

Great location right across from Chepstow Castle and an easy walk into town. Breakfast was excellent served in a charming old English pub setting. Handy to the riverside area with great cafes and pubs. Would highly recommend.
Breakfast wasn't bad drinks are really expensive and no Coca-Cola it's a good town centre location and car parking is good really needs updating but fair value for the money checkout time wasn't clear
