We enjoy walking as much as possible, it was great to walk down to Chepstow - there is a good atmosphere in the town - lots of coffee shops. No far to drive for longer wood walks. Close to Monmouth. I was amazed at just how many emails I received from two rivers in one afternoon while walking. It was beginning to bother me there may be a problem with the extra night I’d booked in the morning. Two of the emails said I was successfully cancelled, It was confusing. Staff put it right, they were fantastic.

It is a very pleasant base for touring a wide area by car.

It is a very pleasant base for touring a wide area by car. We enjoyed a lovely meal with family and friends at the Panevino Italian restaurant by the river. It is quite hilly for walking around which might be an issue for some.

I thought Chepstow was absolutely charming.

I thought Chepstow was absolutely charming. As a single female it isn’t easy to travel alone but I ate down on the river front and talked to a few local people who were very friendly. There were plenty of nice restaurants to chose from and the town appeared clean and well looked after. Unfortunately I had didn’t have enough time to look at the Castle and I look forward to coming back again. The weather was also fabulous!
