We loved the hotel, facilities food and staff were so lovely we will go back for another visit.
An independent hotel with a continental feel, the Lion Inn has a bar, an elegant bistro-style restaurant and spacious air-conditioned rooms flat-screen TVs and free wired internet.

Clean and maintained to a high standard. Comfortable bed.
It was a pleasant stay I wish I stayed longer
A few needed tweaks needed here ( which I have explained in pre post ) - nothing major!

My first visit in over 25 years to the town.
My first visit in over 25 years to the town. It was to work on the Chelmsford Beer Festival, held annually in Admirals Park https://cbcf.camra.org.uk/viewnode.php?id=178936 , so my exploration of the town itself was limited. I noticed a lot of fast food outlets, which was a change, along with a ring road that seems to cut the centre off. There had been a lot of re-building .... I will be back, to explore further, if only to explore some of the recommended pubs https://www1.camra.org.uk/pubs/place/chelmsford-3588?sort=nearest

Chelmsford has good shops and restaurants.
Chelmsford has good shops and restaurants. When we travel down by train we have easy access around places using the bus service. Train and bus stations or taxis are easy to get to. One of our favorite places to eat was the indian restaurant in Moulsham street.

The park which the apartment looks onto is lovely place to walk around. The shops are very convenient. The buses stop outside the apartment...so great for travel. Train station not far away either too. Regarding restaurants there are plenty to choose from.

Chelmsford is a lovely, friendly city with a great atmosphere. Shopping is a dream here and the old buildings in it give it character and charm. It is also clean and tidy. Can't wait to go back. Public transport is very good.

Ashley was there to help us when we checked in made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. The place was spacious and well appointed. We had a great time. It's just a short walk to the station from the flat, and it's right in Chelmsford city centre so there was plenty of food and such within a few yards of the building really.
Great little unit, clean and had all the facilities & supplies we needed. Brandon was the best host I've come across; friendly and so helpful. If we are back in Chelmsford, I'll definitely book again.
Wonderful little find just a mile away from Chelmsford Town Centre. Big old house with tons of character, love staff (especial thanks to Caroline for an amazing breakfast. Will be back.
Friendly polite staff good size room.
Samphire restaurant was great and the breakfast tasty 5* would definitely recommend and use again if in Chelmsford.!
