I stayed in a large room with a private bathroom, which I would strongly recommend. I was comfortable and very well looked after by Bunda at the house, who even gave me a swahili lesson in the morning. There are places to eat nearby, but I highly recommend you try Bunda's cooking. Ali, the owner, is a vital source of information about the island. Really made me feel welcome.

Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. The location was amazing when it was high tide you could go out and snorkel on the beach to the jetty the water. Has a great sunset view bar with great staff. Food was also great and quite dynamic not always the same.
