St Moritz very quiet in September, not a lot to do apart from walk round lake. Shopping was all the expensive designer shops, way too expensive for majority of tourists. The 3 bars we found all allowed smoking inside. This is a No No for us. Had to shower and wash hair, plus the smell of smoke on dirty clothes in suitcase. Spoke to fellow tourists at bus stop whilst waiting for next destination to Lugano and we all agreed, st moritz not as great a resort as Zermatt.

The perfect place.
The perfect place. Obviously costly, but can be done on budget as well. Take the train to Alp Grum! Go to see Corvatch and Alp Languard and Muottas Muragl, Diavolezza and ... just so many nice places you can get. The view from Piz Languard towards Bernina and Morteratsch glacier is on my top 5 views in Alps along with Matterhorn.

St Moritz is beautiful and the transport system is excellent.
However it is too expensive, beyond reason. 6CHF for a cup of tea. 9CHF for a bottle of sparkling water.
The best way to eat is to buy something at coop.
For the amount of money going into the economy they could keep their public toilets cleaner.

We only stayed for 1 night to catch the Glacier Express the next day. By the time we checked in and got settled, most points of attraction had closed except shops. Would have liked to arrive earlier in the day to explore. However, our one night stay was quite pricey (probably the most I have ever paid for a room hotel - granted this is St. Moritz at Christmas and we had a “family room” (queen bed room with adjacent room with bunk beds).
However, I fully enjoyed the Glacier Express, even though it was snowy & cloudy. Would love to do it again in the summer!

We went off season so many places were closed but what was open was perfect - a friendly welcome from everywhere we went. The Engadinia restaurant and the Parkhotel Margna in Sils were ideal places to eat. St. Moritz is easy to get around - we walked everywhere.
Great place to visit
A stately hotel with magnificent views of teh mountains and lake from the bar, dining room and some of the rooms. The staff, especially the dark haired afternoon manager and the restaurant team are wonderful. Wonderful modern bathrooms and awesome showers. Parking at front doors. A special treat are the cable car passes we used as we stayed two nights. Saved us 88 CHF. St Moritz is not a cheap destination but when you include everything this hotel is a very comfortable and reasonable option.
Friendly, comfortable and fine hotel well placed in the center of St Moritz, easy walking distance to most places and with good views over the lake. Excellent dining, well priced for what and where it is. Relaxing piano bar. Personal connection and interest from the staff at reception and restaurants. Excellent buffet breakfast, especially the home-smoked salmon.
Central location and boutique like interior; all basics there, small but functional rooms. Nice restaurant and bar. The hotel participates in the areas transportation discounts, hence when you stay two days or more access to bus, gondolas etc included, which is super convenient as the area has a lot to offer.
Arrived via glacier express and the hotel arranged for pick up service. The room is big for 3 pax though toilet is a little small. Very close to shopping and there is their own restaurant and confectionery.
