Very nice hotel in Närke, north of Askersund. Run by Dutch couple. Beautiful surroundings, at a lake. Unexpected number of Dutch and Belgian beers. We had a very nice three course dinner and a great time with our family.

Lovely house in a calm location, no trouble finding the address. Liked the spacious garden, decking and balcony. Every room has windows on at least two sides so nice and bright inside. Kitchen and house overall well-equipped. Beds comfortable, firm but slept well. Internet speed works well for streaming, though there are a couple of wifi dead spots. Small supermarkets about 15 min drive away. Welcoming owner responded quickly to questions.

My stay at Hotel Montagne was a delightful experience. It was fascinating to learn that in the past, a Belgian company mined zinc in the area, and the ore was processed in a village close to where I live in Belgium. It's a small world indeed.
The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always eager to assist with any request, no matter how small. Complimentary coffee, tea, and sparkling water were readily available, and upon request, hot chocolate was promptly served.
The cleanliness of the bedroom was impeccable, perfectly matching its description. The breakfast was enjoyable, featuring freshly baked rolls and the option to make your own waffles with homemade blueberry jam.
Our decision to return in the future speaks volumes about our wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
