The Beach House Ocam Ocam, hotel in Busuanga

Located in Busuanga, a few steps from Ocam Ocam Beach, The Beach House Ocam Ocam provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area.

Don't get me wrong, the beach house is a cute little gem of a place tucked far away from where tourists frequent. It is very stylish and is pretty clean, save for some bugs here and there. It is very private and affords one a quiet retreat from touristy beaches in the Philippines.

Ann, Jayson and Cliff plus everyone living nearby were super helpful and welcoming. The place is a little paradise, well maintained and right at the beach. There are two good restaurants nearby, we were able to book a boat tour with Jayson and you can try fresh coconuts here :) The water provided is clean and even though it is not running water, the Tabo for toilet and shower (Filipino style haha) are absolutely fine and do the job.

I dont know why everyone goes to crowded Coron island while huge wild beautiful Busuanga is near. Its very big island, better to rent a motorbike to discover it. A lot of things to do, islands, giraffes, diving, beaches.

We liked Busuanga because it was relatively untouched by tourism. Where we stayed at Ocam Ocam there was a rural village community living along the beach. They were friendly and helpful and there was one restobar on the beach. The beach wasn't busy - had a very relaxed feel. It would have been a drive to the nearest town but we liked being away from it all. The beach at Ocam Ocam was gorgeous, though not for swimming as it had a long shallow reef out to the sea. We didn't see a lot of Busuanga as a whole but it felt equally relaxed and rural away from big towns.

The resort location is beautiful and the landscape simply stunning! Its a great spot for relaxing during the day, the kayaks and paddle boarding were a nice afternoon activity, although it was a shame the jet ski was out of action the whole 5 days we were there! I would recommend the day trip to the private island - ideal. Disliked · We went over CNY and were hoping to have some more variety with options for food - the resort is located 45 mins from Coron town and was an expensive excursion (we paid $60USD in taxi's to go out for breakfast one day because the one menu at the hotel had exhausted our appetite) I would suggest more evening entertainment too - to add to the atmosphere, a playlist or a live band that lasts longer than 10 minutes, something classy and relaxing. The food was a real disappointment, I felt like I was eating a children's menu all weekend not paying children's prices. The rooms were lovely and big, although a little sparse on luxury based on the rating and cost. The pool and water activities are great though, although it was a shame the jet ski was out of action all weekend!
