We had planned to spend 4 days in Mirissa around New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately we found ourselves in a hotel that really didn’t meet our expectations so I frantically searched online for an alternative. Being NYE not very much was available but luckily we found Anveela. Not in the area we originally planned but sooooo much better. This property is perfect for any person, couple or family who look for peaceful accommodation with excellent service. You are surrounded by a very well maintained garden but also the whole area is very green so you will see as many exotic birds flying overhead as you did in Yala national park. We had the family suite and it was so big that I honestly kept getting lost between the rooms. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk down a side street and there you will find wide beaches lined with restaurants. The waves are not too powerful and everything is perfect for families. Finally the staff. Everyone was wonderful, helpful and friendly. I couldn’t wait for breakfast each morning, enjoying delicious food whilst starring out at the garden. When we return to Sri Lanka we will stay for at least a week.

This was such a lovely stop on a very busy holiday. This family run establishment is certainly more comfortable and hospitable than some of the hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Sure, it is not on the beach but the short walk (less than 200m) will get you on the most beautiful beach but the bonus is the welcoming swimming pool on the property gardens. Lovely place to relax. Large beach.
Lovely place to relax. Large beach. Not many restaurants on the beach and not as populated with tourists as other areas we visited, but we loved spending time in Shah Shah's and found a sun bed to relax in with an umbrella. Also recommend Pier 88 to eat out in near by Aluthgama, lovely river views and good quality food. Also recommend Kandoori if you fancy a bit of Indian cuisine. We didn't do many day trips as we had already done some in Mirissa but we did do a boat safari that was pleasant enough. Great location if you want to be relatively near to Colombo and the airport. We mostly relaxed by the pool and had Ayurvedic massages so recommend finding a nice hotel with good facilities. Worth a visit.

Beautiful and very comfortable bright and airy bedroom. stunning pool and gardens. lots of little areas to chill out. Excellent hospitality from host, lots of great local tips and recommendations and a very short stroll to nearby beach. Had the best time, this place is a gem!
The host, the treatments, the garden, the rooms, the food - it was just amazing. A dreamy place, it felt like home, we didn't want to leave. We hope to come back soon.
The beach is right around the corner and there are small shops for necessities.
My stay at Beruwala Sriyan Villa was exceptional. The serene atmosphere, attentive staff, and luxurious accommodations made it the best experience. I highly recommend it for a relaxing and memorable getaway.... the hospitality was the best🌷😍
