Lovely location, Lovely little village, amazing and friendly host, could not do enough to help and guide you.Nice and clean. Plenty of free parking. Lots of local shops, cafes and restaurants. Amazing river side beach and waterfalls, only 5 min walk away.

We like to hike so it was a good base for hiking in the park. We cooked for our self ,(we took the room with a kitchen).there is not other options in this village. It's very quite .

Unhais da Serra is a very small town. It has one outstanding restaurant - As Thermas and another couple of ones that are good options as well. A couple of local shops that carry the delicious cheeses, charcuterie and liquors made in Serra da Estrela. We always stop to replenish or stock - we prefer the tiny mini-market, but the fancier shop has sweatshirts, slippers and interesting items as well.
It's the perfect get-away for rest and relaxation. We park the car at the H2otel and do walking to everywhere we need to go over the weekend. I'd say a 3-4 night stay is ideal.

Exquisite scenery, well placed for exploring the Serra, with a reasonable number of cafes/restaurants given the size of the village. It was easy to get around (small diversion in place for roadworks) but it was off season.

We've stayed in Unhais da Serra as a base for exploring Serra de Estrela and the region. The town is nicely located in a valley, and pretty well connected - the closest bigger city Covilha is about 20mins drive. There are few well established restaurants in the town with good ratings and decent local food choices. Also a good store with local cheeses, delicacies and craft. It's certainly a nice mountain retreat place. Will visit again in another season.

The views are spectacular! Having breakfast outside looking at the mountains is just an amazing and unforgettable experience!
Close to the restaurants and cafes of the town Unhais da Serra. The ground floor room with the terrace is amazing for trips with the baby. We put the baby to her afternoon nap and were able to chill with a glass of wine, while listening to what's going on in the room. Very comfortable stay with the toddler in this room with the terrace.
Beautiful pool. The owner is very kind and sweet. We will be returning.
Absolutely superb. Better than some 4 and 5 star hotels. Gabriela, Pedro and family were charming, recommending some great lical attractions to visit. An absolutely brilliant place to stay.
Location is good. The stuff is friendly and helpful. River view and entrance is very nice. Hotel style is very unique and cozy. Good place to visit with a group of friends.
