Hotel Lido, hotel in Estoril

Located just 500 meters from the famous Estoril Casino, the Lido Hotel features an outdoor pool set within landscaped gardens. It offers spacious rooms with balconies, some offering coastline views.

It was very good with various options. Little annoying the staff come to ask several times during breakfast your name and room. Maybe just confirmation and mistake. All in all very satisfied and could stay here again if given the chance.

Estoril is a bit of a worn, unexciting beach destination.

Estoril is a bit of a worn, unexciting beach destination. It has only a few decent restaurants and the Hotel Palacio is probably the only thing really worth visiting. On the positive side, it has a nice beach, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed, but I would always prefer nearby Cascais over Estoril.

We loved it where we stayed but didn't explore Estoril itself very much since we rather wanted to enjoy the beach and the beach bar on our short stay, but we often walked to Cascais along the beach which is a great walk.

The appartment was very fine and Miguel is the perfect host, but Estoril is a hole! The most uncharming place I have ever stayed. There is nothing not even a supermarket or a restaurant! We arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday even though we have booked the whole week! There was 2 restaurants below the appartment, but I never saw more than 4 people. Both on Thursday and Friday there was some sort of competition of who had the biggest motorcycle and we were unable to sleep. The beach was 2 minuts apart, but really boring. I was promised a sea front view - not excisting! Whitin 25 minuts you can walk to Cascais which is a terrible turist trap and a really boring walk.

Estoril is a crown jewel in the Portugese Rivera.

Estoril is a crown jewel in the Portugese Rivera. I lived there for years and love Estoril and Cascais although the latter is beginning to look like Blackpool Excellent restaurants, casino green space golf courses all serve to make it a great place to live and holiday

Loved the area, was close to go to Sintra for a day of exploring. That was a magical place. Loved the shopping, the beach, the food. Gorgeous view of the beach. It was warm and lovely in April. We used taxi to get around and it was very reasonable rates.

Estoril is a beautiful place, we visit Museum of Portuguese Musik and musical instruments, Museum of Castro Himarais. It's a pleasure! And we have a dinner in restaurant "Monti Bistro" It's absolutly exceptional! Food and service. I wish we have something like this one in Porto.

The location is very good - conveniently located near Monte Estoril train station (great for commuting to Lisbon - a 40 min scenic train ride by the coast to Cais do Sodre), but careful if travelling with heavy luggage - you need to climb some stairs from the train station to the hotel. The size of the room is very good, there was enough storage and the beds were big and comfy. The best thing was the view from our balcony-stunning! Tip: ask for a room with sea view and on a higher floor.

Room was a good size. TV only in local language. Pool a good size but in shade and so always cold. Not enough sun beds. Snack bar was fine but basic. Beds comfy and nice hotel but a bit far from main areas of Estoril. Arrived 20 mins before checj in and was told had to wait which as annoying but overall its an ok hotel

Hotel Smart is a rare find. Quite a gem. Very close to the beach - you can walk all the way to Cascais. It's near the train station, so it's easy to get to Lisbon. I like staying just outside noisy city centers - and this place fit the bill.
