Parking was secure and good (bookable), walking distance to old Shiedam area, excellent breakfast and the restaurant was good and very reasonably priced for a hotel .

Perfect option for a weekend getaway if you are traveling by car and want to explore the Hague or Delft. Breakfast was amazing - so much choice. Loved the design of the rooms, the shower was great and we had a bathtub in our room, balcony as well. The swimming pool and saunas were also great. Free parking on site with plenty of space.

the bathroom is very very warm so in winter is nice to dress up inside, have a shower or a bath without feeling cold!
The position is in Schiedam centre so all facilities and some museums are just next.

We stayed for 3 nights at this lovely location! Nice apartment over 2 levels with a well equipped kitchen close to shops. We used it as a base for day trip to The Hague and to the tulip gardens. if you don’t have a local debit card do not park in the parking station at the shopping centre. There is nobody on-site to help and the machine wouldn’t except our cards. Thankfully a helpful local helped out with his card. Other parking avail close by We cooked and ate in. Local people very helpful and friendly.

Lovely little town with canals and picturesque corners. Great museum and art gallery and also other independent art spaces like the outstanding Ketel factory. Easily walkable across town to the station and close to Rotterdam.

Schiedam is somewhat of a hidden gem in The Netherlands.
Schiedam is somewhat of a hidden gem in The Netherlands. As suburban city close to the gigantic harbor of Rotterdam it often gets overlooked. However, this is not fair towards this beautiful city with its reminders that go back to the golden ages of shipbuilding and trade in The Netherlands. The relative small center has some of the best preserved canals of any city in The Netherlands with scenic houses and old sailing boats. There are plenty of restaurants and it is very calm compared to Amsterdam. If you want to see real Dutch old cities, go to places like Schiedam. It has the biggest windmills in the world and is famous for its liquor Jenever. A trip well worth.

The hotel is in a beautiful location beside the canal. parking was relatively easy to find and is free after 19:00 and all day on Sundays. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. If was at the front of the hotel overlooking the canal which was beautiful. The hotel is really quiet which was exactly what we were looking for.
The breakfast was good. Although the croissants were not good at all. The staff were good and brought us extra pancakes when we asked.
We had booked a total of seven rooms out of which the bed of one room was broken. At night we told them that they did not change our room and they are saying that we do not have a room and after that when we asked them for plans for dinner, they refused. We used to sit at the reception. When we were with our family, they used to tell us to go to our rooms. Don't sit here, they were very rude and we did not enjoy it. We will never go to this hotel again.
The room was well decorated and well equipped, super comfy bed, lovely towels. Great base for exploring the area. Schiedam is a sweet quiet little town with much history, but also close to Delft and Rotterdam. Dan was an excellent host, very accommodating and responsive.
My colleague found the hotel to be outstanding and beyond expectations. He particularly liked the gym and the rooftop restaurant and found the meal there to be of outstanding quality and very innovative.
