The Grand has a matrvellous view of Port Vila harbour, so right down town. The food is generally good. I particularly like the cauliflower curry at lunch. The looby area is nice and are with plenty of sitting spaces and a convenient bar.

I stayed for one night on NYE in a single room a couple of weeks after the earthquake. The staff was really useful with helping for the local buses and directions / how to get to places. The room was small but enough for one (single bed), although a little expansive compared with other properties in a similar price range. The location was good. The double rooms seemed nicer and better appointed.

We unfortunately were there during the earthquake disaster and so our holiday was cut short. The two resorts we stayed in were excellent and our hosts made us most comfortable in the most trying time for them and their families. If you have missed out on visiting Vanuatu because of this disaster PLEASE as soon as you can when the resorts are up and running again visit. It is a beautiful country with friendly people.

Very expensive for what you get but the people are friendly & helpful. The humidity in November has been between 83 - 100% . I highly recommend the Le lepa island tour run by the local people. The waters are fantastic & great snorkelling.

Port Vila is a beautiful little city on an island.
Port Vila is a beautiful little city on an island. It is easy to get to it even if you are staying out of town. The blend of local and imported produces and products makes living, eating and holidaying in Port Vila much fun. It is easy to access local food markets and restaurants.
My family prefer eating at the Port Vila market house where local cooks serve their best dishes using local seasonal ingredients and some imported ones.
Bus-ing around Port Vila is fun if you are not in a hurry. We like to take the bus because for 150 vatu you get to go to places you would not normally see on a organised tour.
My kids enjoy water activities the most. Staying by the beach fulfilled our hope of a relaxing and satisfying family holiday. Our choice of holiday spot was spot on! We had the river, the ocean, the sand and the pool.

So easy, so tropical, so vibrant - such an island vibe.
So easy, so tropical, so vibrant - such an island vibe. Water in the port crystal clear and teeming with fish! Fruit & vege & flower markets were amazing - beautifully presented, so much organic produce, cashflow access easy, friendly helpful locals. Same with the local craft markets next door (x2) so much artistic talent - weaving was incredibly intricate, great art too (David William). Beachfront restaurant right by moored boats, lovely sunset, lovely staff, amazing covers singer and delicious food & cocktails. Loved it all. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Use taxi from airport and for tours etc, resorts charge too much for activities and transfers. Have visited Port Vila numerous times in last 17 yrs and the people are always fabulously friendly.
Finding quality places to eat (outside the resorts) was very easy when asking locals and resort staff. But after this last fly in trip we will only return will be on cruises that go there.

I loved this place; it was easily my favourite stay in Vanuatu. The place is brand new, beautiful bathroom and the kitchen had everything I need to cook up fish I caught. Great to relax, lie in a hammock on the balcony overlooking the water. It's got its own pier/jetty where I was able to get picked up for a fishing charter. Colin was really friendly, and helped organise transport not only across to the island but also a shuttle back to the airport after my stay. Only wish I could've stayed longer.
Anne and Petter are both very kind, friendly and helpful. I can’t speak more highly of the rest of the staff either, we felt incredibly well looked after! The ability to walk straight out to a beautiful snorkelling spot was great. It is in a bit of a secluded/isolated spot which is great to enjoy the peace and quiet but does mean you may need to walk a bit before getting a bus - not a major issue we managed perfectly. Get ready for some stunning Vanuatuan sunsets 🌅
Breakfeast and Dinner was ok, Service in fisrt evening very slow - we waited almost an hour.
The reception worked very well for our misssed luggages by Airvanuatu and the Manager even drived us to airport for pick up our luggages. WE really apreciate that !!!
The beautiful natural environment, the jetty and coral reef onsite with so many fish, the lovely villas and attention to detail of sweet coastal and Vanuatu decorations, the gorgeous hut we ate under
The location is good. But the Hotel is a low-cost budget hotel packed with local working-class people. rooms and beds were not clean. air condition was not working.
