Hotel is large and during our stay busy. Coach delivery of guests during evening and morning collection resulted in a lot of people traffic. Breakfast was good choice, evening meals were fine. Parking outside was busy Motorcycles and car parking at times and walkers enjoyed the hotel. The Hotel is located on a hill and for some walking may prove hard outside hotel grounds.

The place is very spacious, both the main living room with the kitchen attachment and the bedroom are quite big. There is a terrace outside the living room with a table and chairs and a view over the mountains, a wonderful place to have a breakfast in the morning sun. Both the living room and bedroom windows face away from the main road to the south of the house so even if there would be traffic at night, you don't get to hear it.
Kitchen is a full size one and it is quite well equipped, together with a toaster and Tchibo capsule coffee machine.
You get a parking spot on the property so you basically park meters from the entrance which is convenient for luggage.
The apartment looks fresh and fairly new, really left a nice impression.

We booked one night at Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede for a quick stop during a road trip around Austria. Even though we arrived too late, Kim gave us all the facilities to enter the house without any problems.
Ferienhaus Herrenschmiede is a very tastefully decorated house, with a great attention to detail in every corner. We were surprised by the number of amenities provided, with a wide range of possibilities for outdoor activities nearby, both in summer and winter.
On top of that, after we found out we forgot a beanie at the house upon our departure, Kim very kindly offered to send it back to my address.
All in all, highly recommendable accommodation in every aspects and we will surely make sure to come back if we get the chance.
I enjoyed very much the location, the mountains, the rest, and the atmosphere was excellent. To taste the Austrian nature and culture was very beneficent. The communication with the hosts was excellent and the servant maid was also friendly and helpful. They gave me detailed and helpful information about the apartment and the surroundings. And it was a good price/quality ratio. My son and myself had an unforgettable time in Obervellach, Carinthia.
We were there for the 4th time and as usual everything was perfect. We were there during Easter and the host was so kind to surprise us with chocolate bunnies and eggs for kids and bottle of wine from their winery.
As the apartment is located on the top of the hill, you have excellent view down to the valley. If you are in obervellach with kids, don't forget to stop in Motorik park and pools.

Very nice location, good view from both rooms we had. Clean hotel kept in very domestic decoration. Many choices for breakfast, fresh products, hours of serving very long. Staff really nice and helpful, they can speak English.
You feel so welcomed at this hotel! The rooms are very well equipped, spacious and clean. The village is picturesque and close to Mölltaler glacier. we have been here twice and ate already planning our next visit.
