Nice and quite location is one of the main advantages of this apartment. Far from people at the edge of a forest and meadow was really enjoyable. The owner was always helpful and gave us the summer pass which serves you as a discount card for activities. There is a self service table/fridge with some snacks and drinks in the first floor. It is an excellent location with amazing views of the lake. The breakfast was great, really tasty fresh Brötchen. It's an ideal place to stay if you're planning a hike in the area. I highly recommend visiting the "Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut" observation deck.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable. and the bathroom was great- excellent shower pressure! We had access to an elevator which helped with the bags and we had a fantastic view of the area on the top floor along with a balcony. I had a minor issue with the reservation on booking.com and the manager/ owner was very accommodating and helped me resolve it. I would highly recommend this property. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

Altmünster is nice village next to lake Traunsee with all its beauty that an Alpine settlement can have. Narrow streets, charming country houses with marvelous gardens, no crowd and fresh air. You can take a (steep) ride on to Gmundnerberg (the mountain backing the village) on foot, by bike or by car. Gmunden the neighboring city is a the treasure of the area, good cafes, breweries, restaurants and lakeside promenade with fountain, from where you can get to Grunberg hill with a cable car (lift) to the top and take some refreshing walks from 30min to 3 hrs. We really enjoyed being there and look forward to revisiting it soon.

Great location, short trip to everything. Awesome staff, they'll help you with anything. Cooled drink room where you could pick your drinks (wine,water,beer) only negative was the trafic sound into rooms. Highly recommend it.

Altmunster is a strange town, which can be classified as an...
Altmunster is a strange town, which can be classified as an unknown spot. It is very close to Gmunden in which you can find people from all over the world, but in 2 km far one can see 85 cars with local registration, 10 with german and 5 all the rest from 100 cars. It has not as many attractivities for the tourists and that's why the restaurants are 10-15 % cheaper than in Gmunden with the same or higher quality.

Incredible scenery and atmosphere. Plenty to do in the area. Altmuenster itself is quiet apart from some busy restaurants so any shopping or sightseeing has to be done in gmunden. There are boat trips and water sports at the very clean beautiful lake and plenty of hiking and mountain bike trips to do. Cable cars take you up if you don't want to walk.catering is superb, we never had a disappointing meal and not overly expensive.I recommend the 'Auszeit ' cafe throughly, open 7 days until midnight.

I like the location. Traunsee and surroundings are just awesome. Staff was very polite and friendly. Hotel is pet-friendly (18 EUR per pet per night), we traveled with our cat. The bed was quite comfortable. Our room has floor heating - that's cool.
The hotel is in a good location. We had only one problem, it was really hot weather during our stay and the room did not have air condition. When we opened the window to enjoy the colder night due to the busy road nearby it was rather noisy.
Excellent and comfy beds, very clean rooms and the whole hotel. The view from the window was amazing. Close to the beach - about 10-15 minutes walking. Very friendly staff!
