after the initial hassle and changing the original room the new one was nice ane spacious
some members of staff were very nice (but some were not)
after the initial complaint about the first room that we were allocated, the hotel manager was very professional and really handled the situation well and helped us to move to a different room
location is great - just a few steps from the pedestrial area in the middle of the city; it is not on Grand Place though - just in case anyone expected that from the name of the hotel
beds are comfy and the wifi worked really well
also - it was nice to have a glass water bottle available in the room and the opportunity to fill it with still or sparkling water in the fountain in hall

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.
French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!
Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.
Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.
If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.

It became too touristic yet facilities are too old, services are poor. It does not deserve to be the European capital anymore. Or maybe we simply got bored. The town does not develop new attractions or implement innovations to attract visitors.

I come often to Brussels.
I come often to Brussels. I love taking pictures of old parts of town like Le Sablon , Royal Quarters etc. I love the architecture of the streets in Brussels, with varied styles like Art Nouveau, Flemish style and the French classical style near Royal Quarters. It shows the different historical periods Brussels was under different rulers. Downtown Grand Place is of course a must. The second great thing in Belgium is the food! I always eat well in Brussels but choose places that have a solid reputation.

I would say visit the main square, it is stunning but also walk out of town and visit the car museum, the park it is in in beautiful and there are lots of lovely sites to see on the way and the museum is fascinating.
Head further away from the square to find the better restaurants and you must visit L'Ocean on Avenue De Stalingrad for a cheap but amazing Fish Restaurant, it was excellent but they don't serve alcohol but don't let this put you off, the food is amazing.

A lot of the main attractions are close to the centre of town and easily walkable. Public Transport is easy to use, but avoid e-tickets on the Underground as the readers don't always work and there is no one to help in unstaffed stations.

We enjoyed the Old historical areas, the culture and the vibrancy of the local restaurants and bars. The Museums were great and it was very easy to get around. Overall the people were very friendly and helpful.
My stay at MEININGER Hotels Bruxelles City Center was one of the best experiences in my life! The staff was very helpful, the reception works 24/7. The rooms are of a good standard. This hotel provides practically everything a tourist needs to have a good time exploring beautiful Brussels. The cherry on the top was organized by the hotel staff; group night out to a few clubs/pubs. Thanks to that I met a lot of great people from all parts of the world and I had a unique experience. Highly recommend this place! <3
So close to everything - Brussels Centraal is only around the corner, meaning a train to and from the airport is so viable. Less than a 25 minute walk to grand place, meaning you don’t have to get buses or taxis to and from town. The staff were all lovely, and the room was great. Rooms Aircon was brilliant - really needed it in the heat that was over there. All round great stay and super affordable, only payed half the price of any other similar quality hotel.
The hotel is close to Gare du Midi, 15-20 minutes walk to the city center.
The room was clean and tidy, friendly staff.
The train station is 2 minutes away from the hotel; the Gare du Midi area is not the cleanest in Brussels, but if you need a place close to the train station, it's a great option.
Everything is great!!! Close to the city center and there is a store with everything you need just meter away. If ai ever come back to Brussels, I would love to stay at this hotel again.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location - it is right near the rogier metro stop and walkable to the center of Brussels ie the Grand Place etc.
