Gasthaus Wilhelmshöhe, hotel in Wasserburg am Bodensee

Set in Wasserburg am Bodensee, 20 km from Fairground Friedrichshafen, Gasthaus Wilhelmshöhe offers accommodation with a terrace, private parking and a restaurant.

Our hosts provided an excellent vegan breakfast, and were able to meet our request for an earlier start than usual on the day of our departure (we were hoping to avoid forecast poor weather). Keeping our bikes out of sight and secure was no problem for them either. The location is right on the Bodensee Radweg, near to a bus stop (the Bodsnsee Guestpass gives free public transport) and on the edge of Wasserburg, so very quiet at night.

DaSalvatore, hotel in Wasserburg am Bodensee

Offering mountain views, DaSalvatore is an accommodation located in Wasserburg am Bodensee, 20 km from Fairground Friedrichshafen and 28 km from Dornbirn Exhibition Centre.

Location next to lake brilliant. Very central too , but it is a building site at the moment so outside dusty and noisy and you can't drive easily up to the property. However we were given a key for a car park a bit further away and pour apartment (no. 8) was on the far side from the site so not serious. Didnt try the restaurant but apparently it is very good. Would definitely stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the city, which was filled with vibrant culture, history, and delicious cuisine. However, the overwhelming amount of tourism detracted slightly from the authentic local experience I hoped to have.

This place exceeded our expectations ,lovely little town on Lake Bodensee. Liked wandering through village , looking at properties. Great walking tracks along the water through orchards one way and vineyards in the other direction. Everything you need is on hand , bakeries, restaurants , bank , supermarket . Public transport also good with boat, train or bus available to get to nearby and far away places. If you like bike riding , tracks to ride on ,if walking watchout , bit busy during our stay.

Who would not love staying in a castle?

Who would not love staying in a castle? This castle had beautiful bedrooms. Our room was air conditioned, had a modernized bathroom, a wet bar, couch, desk, and a king size bed. It was a comfortable room except for the sharply pitched ceiling over one side of the bed. This required severe stooping to get in and out of bed. However, all the good in this room overshadowed this one negative. The front desk staff and the waiters (esp. Boris) were very friendly and attentive. One of the maids that we spoke with did not speak English and had difficulty with German so that made communication difficult. Another maid had a better grasp of both languages so we gravitated to her. Check in and out were easy and our restaurant acct was accurate. The view from the dining terrace was stunning. From boats and swimmers in the harbor to two swans sharing the duties of incubating their egg just over the short wall between diners and beach, to gorgeous sunsets, this was the perfect place to enjoy delicious lunch, dinner, and drinks. Although small, there was a modern elevator, an amenity missing in many newer multi level hotels. Access to the train to the Lindau Harbor was just a 10 min. walk and access to the ferry to Lindau and several other towns, was nearly right around the corner from the hotel.

Wasserburg is very quiet town, which is a pleasant change after visiting a number of big cities. The property is 5-10 minutes walk to most things you will need ie Train. Cafe. Restaurant. Grocery & 15min walk to the ferry. Great place to wind down for a few days
