There was no breakfast offered or expected. Only bad Thing for me was that the air conditioning is set to turn off After half hour. So in the morning you end up freezing. Other than that the reception lady who was also the barmaid was very helpful for you Resturant had not been open that night so she directed me down the street for a meal.

Sadly nothing. The reception was barely open. During our stay they had no chef so there was no restaurant or bar facilities on site.

The city/town is lovely to visit especially with the zoo and restaurants. However, the whole experience was ruined by the manner in which the hotel managed its business. It was as though there was absolutely no interest in us as guests as the staff seemed alienated from its core purpose. The design of the interior concerned us as there was a myriad of passageways much like a maze. The fire exits were confusing and left a lot to be desired.

Dubbo was a great family trip!

Dubbo was a great family trip! (My partner completely disagrees however..) We could have stayed for longer, the observatory was incredible, Peter Starr still ran the night sky tour even though it was just our family booked. I can’t believe the things we saw through the telescope there! Nebulas, star nurseries, things outside the Milky Way, stars that look like one to the eye and then are actually 3 stars! The zoo was great too - highly recommend the golf cart hire, the kids definitely enjoyed that more than the animals. But the animals were also great and feeding the giraffes was a highlight - I had no idea they had so much personality! The coffee in town was good too lots of cafes to choose from…. We didn’t do the dining scene proud as we had domino’s and subway for dinner but at least the kids were fed!

The zoo pass covers two days and it’s great to be able to exit the zoo and come back again so we could go get lunch and come back later in the day for when the lions were right at the glass screens! Great value for money. The old Dubbo gaol is very small and very over priced for what it has to offer and the short amount of time it takes to see it all.

Lots to see and places to visit all within an easy commute.

Lots to see and places to visit all within an easy commute. Never been to a big rural city like Dubbo that has so many railway crossings they are everywhere. Lots of history and culture in Dubbo that needs to be developed better and guides to where everything is to be located. Dubbo is a big rural city but has a great modern hospital located there.

There is much in and around Dubbo, you just need the time and resources to look around, there are places worth a visit less that 1 hour by car around Dubbo, The Plains zoo is probably worth going back the next day to catch those things you missed on the first days tour, the second day entry is included in the ticket price

A Lovely cottage, so quiet and yet close to Western Plains Zoo, the Observatory (highly recommended), and close enough to Dubbo city centre for restaurants and other attractions. Fresh bread on arrival. Everything for breakfast fruit, eggs, croissants etc. Kangaroos in the fields first thing in the morning are a treat. Sitting on the back porch in the evening with birds, ducks and geese aplenty near the pond - great way to end the day. Can't think of anything that has been missed in terms of facilities. Highly recommended

Staff great 👍🏻 room oldish but clean.lovely clean linen. Great sized bathroom again clean. Parking. Good. Pool looked good 👍🏻 but too cold for us. Dispense machines for chips and drinks. Plenty tea coffee in room. Lots of eating in places right at the door from donuts pizza maccas. The club. Zoo for those going great location. Probably one of the busiest locations in Dubbo but the double glazing did the trick. Comfy mattress but 1 pillow was a bit uncomfortable.

The proprietors were very helpful and accommodating. The location was handy for the Dubbo Zoo and also close enough to the town centre to be convenient. The room was a good size, was well-equipped and housekeeping refreshed things daily.
