Location is great - genuinely beachfront. Quiet location. Some very nice design aspects - especially lighting and interior paint colours. Easy parking. Good kitchen utensils.
We loved the north end of the beach, tata. Lovely and sheltered, and very safe for kids to swim or play on rocks.
Very friendly golden bay kayak company, to hire kayaks for a morning. Takaka was also a lovely town to walk around, good food, coffee, gifts and a market was on Saturday. Other than this, our time was too short in the area.
