Off The Beaten Trail Acc & Bike Tours, hotel in Murchison

Set in Murchison, Off The Beaten Trail Acc & Bike Tours features accommodation with seating area. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio.

Super easy check in. The host wasn't there when we arrived but instructions for the lock box had been sent prior by email and text. Perfect location just off the main high street. So practical but so quiet. The gardens are obviously well maintained with beautiful native plants and mature trees to provide dappled shade. Outdoor BBQ with seating, hammocks, trampoline and games are wonderful additions to the shared garden. My kids in particular, enjoyed the hammocks and games :-) I tried the trampoline but creaked under my weight- should it be serviced?! We stayed in the Tui Chalet and it was perfect for a family if 4-5. The private garden was a bonus. I can't wait to stay there again and would highly recommend to others. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic location, great opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy time with family away from normal hustle and bustle of life. Loved the slower pace and wood burning fire in the evening. Great winter hide-away haven!

What a brilliant place to stay, can't fault it and can't praise it highly enough. The building was beautiful, the room and bed really comfortable and cooking facilities excellent. Phillip and Daphne were really welcoming and helpful and the breakfast early in the morning was superb. I'd highly recommend Murchison Lodge to anyone looking to stay in the area.

    Absolutely loved the place.

Absolutely loved the place. The lodge had a great walkway down to the river. Everything was just fabulous from chocolate brownies in the room to friendly people. We played in the Open Murchison golf tournament, which is always well organised and the food yummy. Swimming in the river was a highlight on both days. Great swingbridge, 10km out of town. Fantastic.

Usually we pass through Murchison, but this time we made it a stopover for a night. We loved this place. It is in a very picturesque valley, in a lovely warm microclimate, with kayaking and hiking on the doorstep. The nearby swingbridge and cometline were a must. Great pizza from the Cow Shed! We could easily spend more time exploring the surrounds, with a base of the fabulous Murchison Lodge.

    Murchison is a small town.

Murchison is a small town. We had dinner at the local pub which was not cheap but the serving sizes are extra large so good value. People are welcoming and the place had a safe feel to it. Place relies on the tourist trade so very quiet when we were there. We walked from our accommodation to "town", all flat. Very little traffic.

It was a beautiful Autumn road trip to Murchison, the back road down from the Nelson area was outstanding following the river and the vines turning colours. Then up to Blenheim through the pass and the vineyards with all of their colours..... Beautuful Easy, central location to many places and what a fabulous backyard with the Southern Alps right there. There's a very good cafe across the road.

Cabins are super clean and comfortable and the garden is lovely. This was the perfect place to stay before our Old Ghost Road adventure. There was so much space for our group of 8 to organise our bikepacking gear and get our bikes set up. Great coffee and food options nearby. Arran is an awesome host and he looked after us so well with transport, bag storage & relocation all for a very reasonable price. Big thanks to Arran. We’ll be back!!

Everything about our stay was excellent. So welcoming, the lodge is charming and comfortable. Just a short away from their lovely raised gazebo platform overlooking the river. Home-cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious! I'm sure my husband and both thought it was a wonderful stop.

A lovely setting in a mature landscape, very peaceful and lovely to see the animals and chickens next door! Cabin fulfilled our requirements for a stop over on our way from Christchurch to Anel Tasman. Communal kitchens well equipped and clean as we're the showers.

Beautiful location, they make good use of the river for views and swimming. Good beds and the cabins all had protection (screens) against insects. Parking near your cabin. All facilities are very clean. Staff was without exception very friendly and helpful.

The lights and heater were on to greet us on a cold dismal day. This motel was definitely superior five star accommodation something other motels could aspire to. The best motel we have ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend.
