Highly recommend a stay in this house.
Perfectly located only a short walk from Lough Rynn Castle.
The house was very clean, comfortable, warm.
The host left us bread, milk & eggs.
Communication was very efficient and access to keys was seamless.

We spent just one night in the area at Lough Rynn Castle. We went into Mohill wanting more food options than what was offered at the castle for our 6 year old and were shocked to discover there isn't a single restaurant you can eat at. There are pubs that doesn't serve food and a few take away places but no where you can sit down and enjoy a meal. The Castle did have two dining options and they did appear to have a wide variety of foods.

The room I booked on booking.com did not match the room I was given on arrival. I was very disappointed with it.
We ate dinner in the Drawing Room which we had a booking for.We were placed outside the door in an annexe type area at small round tables that came to our knee height. There were 2 other families seated within a metre of is.It was very uncomfortable and awkward for trying to chat. Was no music. No ambiance.
There is very very little to do in the castle. No facilities for the rainy day.So we were very disappointed and just felt it was very much over rated.

Leitrim is such a beautiful county particularly north leitrim. Lots to see and do for those who love the outdoors and nature. Beautiful lakes and rolling hills and friendly people everywhere. Lovely little cafes too! We eat our way around Leitrim. Food was gorgeous! Highly recommend a trip to Leitrim.
Our favorite places were Lough Rinn, Drumshambo, Dromod. We eat in the Brandy Well in Dromod and food was amazing. We had afternoon tea in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel - highly recommend this too.

On the grounds of Lough Rynn castle so the location of the house is fantastic with Carrick on Shannon near by. A pity that this house just did not wow me. A cold house. A spare hot water bottle as opposed to 3 hairdryers would go a long way and curtains at the front door would help with a very drafty hallway. It's an awful pity also that the hot press is blocked off. The linen could do with a freshen up also. Bread , milk, tea, coffee and butter was provided, so really thoughtful touch. We did get to check out late , that was a bonus.

Mohill itself is very small.
Mohill itself is very small. We had a cup of tea in Bellz café. Lovely little spot with such friendly staff. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. We went to Lough Keeldra a few minutes drive away from Mohill. A beautiful spot with a gorgeous lakeside walk. Highly recommend it.
