Lovely old country home, warm and inviting set on the water. Dined at the restaurant. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent and served in a elegant dining room setting.

Willow house Eircode F92V67T, hotel in Letterkenny

Situated in Letterkenny and only 8.7 km from Donegal County Museum, Willow house Eircode F92V67T features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

On arrival to this lovely country house the host said they were not accommodating my husband snd myself but had reaccommodisted us at another property. The host expected us to return to Letterkenny a place we erre not aquinted with. We refused so we were escorted to our accommodation which they chose. It was shocking. A very rough and ready place where we would never have chosen to stay. It certainly did not meet up to our expectations of a good accommodation. Our host after dropping us off made a hasty retreat before we could show our disgusti at how we were treated. The hosts of Willow House should not be offering accommodation.

A great base for touring Donegal, but plenty to see and do in the town itself. Good shopping, great pubs and restaurants, sports centre so something for all ages. Town centre driving is difficult but lots of options to go round the town instead of through it. Parking us easy and cheap enough.

The Yellow Pepper Cafe was excellent, on the main street.

The Yellow Pepper Cafe was excellent, on the main street. Also the restaurant in the Radisson Blue hotel was excellent for family food and the waiters were super friendly. Lots of shopping options. Easy to get to Derry or on up to Buncrana/Malin or over west to Gweedore.

We didn't spend much time in Letterkenny other than for dinner. We ate at the Yellow Pepper which i would highly recommend. It's a robust town that i would have liked to explore and the surrounding area but we were on our way to another area of Donegal. We cabbed to dinner so we were able to have a few glasses of wine with dinner. Cabs were easy to get just outside the bank. Quick ride home with good service. Traffic during rush hour was busy although not as busy as a larger city.

Just used it as a base, plus it was a bank holiday and shops were all closed. So left in the morning and didn’t come back until evening. But it was a busy town traffic wise. 3.30 in the morning and traffic was still driving down the Main Street. Could see it but noise wise we couldn’t hear it.

I want to the hotel for a small one nite break but now think it was too short, 2 or more nites wud be more beneficial, the hotel staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant was 1st class as cud not fault it, the facilities where brilliant as the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was a bliss just relaxing and no cares, next time 2 or more days as can be used as a base and travel around, 5/5 for me 👍

Lovely hotel, just on edge of the town of Letterkenny, situated by the side of a busy road. Our room was very comfortable, warm and clean, tea and coffee making facilities too. As well as shower facilities there was also a bath. This hotel has it's own swimming pool and leisure facilities, which we did not use. We ate dinner in the main bar, very tasty, well served. We did not have breakfast. Any staff we met were helpful and friendly. Would recommend the Clanree Hotel.
