This castle was a true dream.

This castle was a true dream. The rooms and staff were fabulous. We had so much fun with Shawna and Lucy, their service was perfect and their interaction with us made our stay fun. The food and drinks were great and served with perfection. The castle was clean and made you feel like royalty. I am not sure if it had an elevator but we did not mind the stairs, you are after all in a true century old castle. We would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in a castle.

The castle itself is magnificent. Great Staff … all so friendly and helpful. Wedding Ceremony room was beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast served with a smile 😊 Had a delicious meal in the library… definitely the most generous pizza I have come across. I could only get through half of it. There is no lift so it was difficult bringing luggage up three flights of stairs.

It was fun staying in an authentic castle, it was preserved nicely. I wish we had taken time to walk the grounds and experience gardens and trails. We only stayed one night, and the accomodations were nice - but it was definately an "old" facility. The restaurant in the "dungeon" had a lot of character, the food was good but the service was awful.

The hiking trails around the castle were amazing, easy to complete (no steep hills, paths are large and comfortable). The animals live and animate the scenery. The room was great value for money. The availability of food (good) at the bar was important since we arrived by taxi and didn't want to walk to the village to eat, although it's close by. The water available to purchase could come in bigger sizes.

I loved the bathroom but the only thing I’ll say is that it’s very tight. When you open the door you nearly have to stand in the shower to close the door to get to the toilet. But was very fancy like a hotel bathroom.

Loved the castle rooms. We felt like we were staying in a castle rather than a generic hotel. Greart attention to detail throughout the castle. Breakfast was excellent.
