It's a 2 stars so obviously it is what it is but rooms and bathroom are really outdated. We booked last minute so we probably didn't a good deal. Central location and car park are the best part of it.

Spirited Kilkenny was Ireland’s capital in the Middle Ages and although many monuments remain from back then, it’s now best known for the 'craic'. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, accommodation expensive. Certainly an ideal weekend treat.

this is a great city to visit.
this is a great city to visit. We thought 2 days would be enough but 3 would have been perfect! In the summer we heard it is like a party atmosphere with street musicians and festivals, but we had fun in the winter because nothing was crowded. Walking tour at the Medieval Mile museum is first rate and probably overlooked by many tourists. The OPW guide at Kilkenny castle was wonderful too. Remember to walk the grounds of the castle

Kilkenny is perfect for a 2/3 night stay it has everything . Live music great pubs plenty of places to eat out and they look after you if you have any dietary requirements ie a lot of restaurants have Vegan options etc. If you like walking you are spoilt for choice the banks of the river Nore for a perfect walk short or long also the parklands of Kilkenny castle just perfect.

Kilkenny is really lovely town, very pretty and highly walkable. We were only there for 2 days/1 night as almost at end of our holiday and enroute back to Dublin. I would suggest 2 nights in Kilkenny would be nice.

We stayed in Kilkenny as part of a whirlwind tour of southern Ireland. Unfortunately it was way too short of a visit. I loved our B&B and our host Robert. He could not have been more accommodating or provided a better experience. The cafe in the Design Center was welcoming and the fare delicious. Way too much to see and experience in one day. Only disappointment was the fact that the laundry from the 1800's was c!osed to visitors. The self guided audio tour was helpful in describing the conditions of the workers there I would have liked to experience of seeing the conditions inside as I am writing an historical fiction about the Famine.

The castle and gardens are definitely worth a trip a is the brewery. I enjoyed the museum and the cathedrals. The road train is a good way to have an initial look around. Kilkenny is a lovely place with lots to explore. I ended my stay with a boat trip on the river which was definitely worth doing.

Staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great as it's in the city centre. Breakfast was lovely and a good choice. Room was nice but basic enough. Beds were very big and comfy which is a great bonus. The staff make this hotel....from the reception staff, bar staff (night porter was lovely and friendly) and the staff in the breakfast room they were all fantastic.
The property was perfect. The hosts were very accommodating with an early check in. The room was warm and vibrant. The beds were extra comfy. Bathroom exceeded expectations. Less than a 10 min walk into the city centre so it's close by but not so close that you would struggle with noise outside. Will stay again when in Kilkenny
