Lovely town, beautiful cathedral and museums (Alsace Museum and Rohan Museum are a must). But there is also the St. Pierre Le Jeune Church and St. Paul Church. Both worth visiting.
Strasbourg is more than the city center and the museums; it has different neighborhoods so take the time to visit them all.
Lots of tourists so get out early if you don't like masses. The whole town is walkable, no need to take a bus/tram.
Grande Rue is the main shopping street, but do go into the side streets as there are lovely little shops.
3 days is enough to discover Strasbourg, Colmar and the surroundings, all accessible by train.

Strasbourg is charming, romantic, beautiful, and slow paced. One of my favorite stops on vacation. Getting around was very easy. Every place we ate was delicious, L’Octoberfest and La Cintra were recommended to us by hotel host. The Norte Dame Cathedral was a must see and the museum of Alsace.

We were in Strasbourg for two days, enough time for us to see all the major sites and even take a boat ride. The old town area is very clean, safe and walkable. The tram is convenient, but we preferred walking. There are plenty of restaurants, but we felt that prices were a bit high with daily menus (3 items) for 20 to 40 euros. Good food and they were mostly very busy. English is spoken by most service staff, taxi drivers were an exception. The cathedral is very busy, but other very interesting churches are not busy at all and are worth visiting.

Strasbourg is a beautiful historical city.
Strasbourg is a beautiful historical city. The transport system in the city is wonderful. I loved riding on the trams. The staff at the tourist office were very helpful. Reductions for being over 60 at museums. Wonderful artisan bread and cheese. Loved the Alsatian Pino Noir.

We used the map (1.50 euro) from the Strasbourg Tourist Office to do our own self-guided tour of the old town in the morning then did a 1h15 Batorama river cruise in an open-topped riverboat in the afternoon which was well worth the money (15.75 euro per person). You need to allow plenty of time to view the Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre-Dame both inside and out - the Astronomical Clock inside is a must see!

Its like living in a storybook we were there in April, it did get some rain but that never stops us from enjoying the cafes and popping into shops. I am looking forward to coming back and spending some time exploring more.
The hotel has a modern and comfy look. The facilities were all clean and very nice. The hotel itself isn't quite in the city centre but with the tram right behind the building you can reach the city in under 10minutes. As the weekends in strasbourg can get really noisy, we really enjoyed staying a bit further away. The parking solution is quite tough, but we managed to find a parking lot. The staff is really accomodating and can also help you with the parking problem. we enjoyed our weekend getaway and would always come back!
It is an exceptional location at the very centre of Petite France, less than a 100 yards from the Cathedral. Not suprisingly, there were plenty of very attractive places to eat and drink right at the doorstep. There is a convenient publc car park less than 5 minutes' walk away, where the hotel guests get a discount. The room was fine, with an excellent shower.
Arrived by train from Paris and was an easy walk with light luggage to the hotel. Room had a nice view overlooking the street. Wifi was good. TV had a good selection of music. Location was excellent, a few minutes walk away from Petite France area and easy walk to rest of Old Town. Plenty of restaurants around the area.
The location is a bit far from the city centre
The space for breakfast is not enough
There are coffee machines in other ibis style hotel but not for this one
