We chose this bed and breakfast because of all the fabulous reviews on Booking.com and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Jean, our host, was friendly, attentive, and interested in making our experience a pleasant one. Coming from the United States, it seems we were a novelty, but we were driving from Metz back to Paris and wanted a small village. Jean shared historical information about the area and about his home. We enjoyed the kebab restaurant down the road, even though they were wondering what Americans were doing there! We love the backroads of Europe! And we love meeting the people! The experience was exactly as we had hoped! The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was generous. When we come back to Metz, we will definitely come back to Solgne!

It was the most tranquil area. Ariane was a perfect hostess and was very very helpful.
Everything we needed was there. We were very sad to leave . Bed and bedding lovely and comfortable.

Sophie and Denis run a small pension that hosts one family at a time. They were very kind, thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared on the spot with local products. We travelled with our four months old baby, so a certain amount of flexibility was required during our stay. Sophie and Denis were very helpful in this respect, which made our stay great! Highly recommended!

booked at the restaurant for 9pm we did arrive 5 minutes late and in the time of checking in and taking our luggage to the room they closed the restaurant when we were told it closed at 9.30pm!!!! we had driven for 10 hours
Breakfast was poor and the toilet smelled
Also didn't appreciate staff talking to us with cigarettes in their hands!
