La Bresse is a picturesque small French town with all the facilities you would expect (supermarket, bakeries, butchers, swimming pool etc.). The ski area is a c. 10 minute drive from La Bresse. There is a ski bus to and from the town but we did not use it and did not see others using it, but were assured that it did exist! The ski area is perfect for beginners and early intermediates looking to build confidence. More experienced skiers would probably be frustrated by the limited area (only one black run). Its low altitude means lots of very attractive tree lined pistes. Also floodlit evening skiing is available (additional lift pass required).
Well located and run by an exceptionally competent and charming lady. Being the only guests on an off-season weekday, we may have benefitted from an upgrade to a very generous suite of some 60sq.m. Although there were only two of us, the lady of the house in no way skimped in putting on the full repertoire for the buffet breakfast, which almost gave us a bad conscience. Can highly recommend both the property and the warm welcome.
Very nice location in the middle of the Vosges Mountains. The ideal base station for a beautiful cycling vacation. The jacuzzi and sauna are a real plus. From the terrace you look out over the Vosges and the cozy village of La Bresse. Highly recommended.

We've been for a couple of days in La Bresse with a group of 8 persons. A very nice renovated and well equiped gite, in an ideal location both to go cycling and/or walking. The gite has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
