I do have problems with hard beds. I mention that the bed was too firm for me and straight away a lovely mattress topper was fitted enabling me to sleep well during my stay! We had all our meals at the hotel during our stay with you. The food was excellent food and the staff were lovely. Thank you.

It took my two days to explore Port Louis. I enjoyed very much the look from the top of the mountain in Port Louis and the waterfront even though the prices at the waterfront are high. We spend 9 days in Mauritius and enjoyed our day trips to different parts of the country.

We hired a taxi to take us up to the Citadel and around the city. It has some interesting colonial buildings.
We arrived at Port Louis at the end of our cruise - the apartment was not far from the port.
We used the same taxi driver to take us up the Northern Beaches (well worth visiting) and he also drove us to the airport for our flight to Dubai.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Champs De Mars Apartment during my recent short visit to Mauritius, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the charming and cozy atmosphere that this apartment offers.
First and foremost, the location is fantastic. Situated right next to the iconic Champs De Mars Racecourse, the apartment offers stunning views and a unique atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else on the island. It's also conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore all that Mauritius has to offer. Moreover, the apartment's security was excellent.
The apartment itself is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The interior design is tasteful and modern, providing a welcoming and homely ambiance. The spacious living area is perfect for relaxation and entertaining, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare your own meals if you wish.
One of the highlights of the Champs De Mars Apartment is the balcony, which overlooks the racecourse. The breathtaking views of the races and the lush greenery are truly a unique experience that adds a special touch to your stay.
The host, Adam is incredibly accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with any questions or requests you may have. Their warm welcome and local insights enhanced my stay in Port Louis , making it even more memorable.

Traffic in Port Louis is very busy so allow extra time if you need to travel anywhere. You will need consider this when ordering a taxi. There was nothing open near the villa to walk to besides the beach/boat dock area. This was cleaned everyday by the local authority and included toilets.

We stayed in Port Louis for 2 last days in Mauritius.
We stayed in Port Louis for 2 last days in Mauritius. It was wrong. In fact it was enough to visit it for 1 day somewhen in the middle of the trip. Not so much to see there. Water front is beautiful but it is for couple of hours. Peoplel say about Central market but as for me market in Mahebourg is better. So definetely it is worth to visit but without great expectations.

Everything you need for your stay in Port Louis!!
The owner Adam and his family made our stay utterly perfect. Their hospitality, kindness and knowledge of the city made our stay even better than we could have ever imagined. We stayed even longer because of this!
The accommodation was comfortable, quiet and the little slice of home that we needed!
We feel privileged to have met the wonderful owners and we cannot wait to stay again.
We feel like we always have friends to call on in Mauritius now thanks to their warm welcome!
The flat was spacious and in a building, so there was always lots of lighting and foot traffic to make it easy to go in and out. There are also a few coffee shops and cafes nearby, so it's quite easy to get a quick bite to eat. The receptionist took me up to my room and showed me everything, which was so sweet. I also had floor to ceiling windows in the living room and could see the entire Port Louis skyline and sunset. The balconies in the apartment made the view even more stunning :)
Quiet, clean and comfortable guesthouse. If you are traveling on business then it's close to the town of Port Louis, but in the same time it gives you the chance to enjoy a nice rest, away from the traffic and all the downtown commotion.
amazing staff - really helpful and friendly .
great sushi bar and atmosphere on restaurant with live music - close to the town with small free boat ride . great stop off to see Port Louis but would want a weeks holiday here .
