Everything about this property was fantastic. The room, the breakfast, the host and the view was insane. I would highly recommend this property to anyone - it was quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place for a couple.

Very beautiful and unique sea view, breakfast and very delicious jam, very comfortable to live here
Beautiful village. Generally felt safe.
Annoyed with parking at Jubilee Square to walk around and returning 15 mins later with a parking ticket for Bertha’s restaurant for R15. No notice that parking was chargeable, and we didn’t go near Bertha’s. On principle I won’t recommend it to anyone because of the underhanded approach.

It's a lovely, peaceful town with stunning ocean views. I absolutely loved seeing the penguins (they're adorable!) and trying scuba diving in the cold water—definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience! On the way to the diving points, I even spotted penguins and a seal swimming. For nature lovers, this is a must-visit destination.
The only downside is its distance from downtown Cape Town and the wineries. Next time, I would stay in the CBD for a few days to explore the main attractions, then move to Simon's Town for relaxation and nature. The taxi fare (mostly via Uber) was expensive and time-consuming, and unfortunately, there was no public transportation available.

For dining, try "The Lighthouse Café" for seafood and Mediterranean dishes, or "Saveur Restaurant" with its beautiful views of the harbor and great service. There are plenty of cozy cafés and restaurants along the waterfront.
Favourite Places: Some top spots in Simon’s Town include Boulders Beach for penguin watching, the Naval Museum for history enthusiasts, and Seaforth Beach for a quiet retreat. Don't miss the scenic coastal views along the way.

The restaurants were excellent value for money and served delicious food. There were plenty of eateries to choose from. A very pretty village in which I felt safe.
Boulder Beach and the penguins were easy to find. You don’t need to pay to go onto the beach to see the African Penguins you can use a boardwalk for free and still see good views of them. Lots of rock hyrax in the bushes are not shy and will pose for a photo. Just remember they are still wild animals.

Simon's Town is close to seeing the penguins, the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, the famous lighthouse at Cape Point and sign at the Cape of Good Hope. On the nature reserve I saw baboons, ostriches, and other wonderful flora and fauna.

Thank you for taking care of your beautiful hotel, the whole hotel is kept so well which shows us guests it's done with love and pride.
Watching out for specials again as our stay was to short only had 2 days - 4 days would have been perfect but we could only do 2 nights as south African retired citizens.
Honestly congrats on your staff and making us feel so relaxed is pure bliss.
Thank you everyone
we had the most amazing stay at the cottons cottage. Best accomadation we stayed in in south africa. The cottage was perfect for us (Family of 4 adults) and we just loved everything, the Location, the View, the interior design, the comfy beds and the equipment of the cottage. It had everything .Big thank you also to Sheena, who was an amazing host and always available.
A perfect location out of the hustle bustle of the Cape Town suburbs. A friendly welcome and throughout our stay from the staff. The fruit/muesli yogurt and cooked breakfast was delicious.
We were lucky to have great weather, so watched a lovely sunrise every morning either from the balcony or the nearby rocks along the coast.
We loved that all the restaurants are around the Hotel. We just fell in love with Simonstown. The staff of the Hotel is absolutely the best. Friendly, helpfull and very pleasant to talk with.
