We only booked it again because we spontaneously decided to go to Italy and all our favourites were unavailable. Nice breakfast, but they are way too many pastries options which makes breakfast very expensive AND wasteful. The buffet was still very full when they closed. And well, vending machine coffee in Italia is a crime. Especially when you pay 15€ for breakfast… But the breakfast ladies are adorable.
The room was clean and neat.
The pillows in the wardrobe are great but the ones on the bed are uncomfortable, very thick and hard.

The staff was amazing. They explained everything and even came outside to show stuff. The room and bathroom were super clean. Not even dust was found. Great location with everything in walking distance. And: For the time I stayed, it was the cheapest option. It has everything you need for just sleeping there. This is what the hotel offers and it does this one thing great: A very clean sleeping place.

Covering gentle hills overlooked by higher peaks, Sanremo is a sophisticated Italian Riviera town with a glamorous casino. Built in 1905, this Liberty-style building hosts rounds of the Italian and European Poker Tours.
Down the road are the colourful minarets of San Basilio Russian Orthodox Church, while in the opposite direction is the Ariston Theatre, home of the Sanremo Music Festival – Italy’s biggest musical contest.
Nearby Piazza Colombo is a large square enlivened with vibrant flowers. Sanremo (or San Remo) is known as the City of Flowers and has the Mediterranean’s most important flower market. The surrounding area also produces olive oil, and fine examples can be purchased in shops of hillside La Pigna, the medieval part of town accessible only by stone steps.
Atop the hill, the Regina Elena Gardens provide lovely views down to the sandy beach and yacht-lined marina. Whale watching and diving trips depart from the harbour, and a few streets away is Villa Nobel, where Alfred Nobel died. A cycle path runs nearby and continues along the Ligurian coast all the way to Genoa, following the route of the old train tracks.
The modern tracks are underground and the train station is surrounded by the Sanremo accommodation on Booking.com, ranging from cheap apartments and guest houses to 5-star hotels.

Sanremo is one of the best towns in the world, not only it is beautiful and full of history and architecture but the town is so well built and organized that you are never too far away from what you need.
You want the beach? You have it, you love the countryside? It´s right there, and it is also so well communicated with the rest of Liguria and even the nearby France.

Sanremo is very interesting.
Sanremo is very interesting. I’m looking forward to returning and exploring it more. There are lots of nice restaurants - the 4 Stagioni and the Green Door were both excellent. The alleys up to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Assumption were very interesting to explore. We cycled the pista ciclabile to Borgo Prino and it was easy with great sea views. I would like to do it again in better weather.

Sanremo itself is bustling with purple day and night, good place to observe humanity. Location is good for visiting Ventimiglia, France, Dolceaqua, Bordighera and other delightful hill towns. Train is fastest, bus is more scenic and interesting. The world lives in this area, especially Ventimiglia. I originally came to do the bike ride with an E-rental, Ospedaletti to Imperia, which is lovely, but this time I was too busy enjoying the territory. Don't miss Dolceaqua and Bordighera. I hear there is also now a bike path connecting the 2 towns.
Did I mention the great food?

It is a very lovely town, fits perfectly for the family vacation or to live in a peaceful place in retirement or even for a youth recreation. But it is not very big city, so if you are an active kind of people - there's not much to do after a week of being there.

Beautiful beach town. Perfect for a few relaxing days away with great food and great wine.
Everything within walking distance. Bikes can be hired to explore nearby towns.
We stayed at Sanremo Luxury Suites, which were right on the sea front and great value for money.
Our favourite restaurants were:
Ristorante Maona (try the carbonara)
Ristorante La Fontana (try the saffron ravioli)
Solentiname (try the mixed meats, or the Angus beef)
You can book with FlixBus or BlablaCar for a bus that will take you direct to Nice airport for under £20 for 2 people. Ensure that you find the correct bus stop. The bus stop isn't in or in front of the bus station; it's actually on the road opposite.

One of the best experiences I've had - stunning location in the hills, gorgeous gardens, the hot tub was incredible and the hosts were super friendly. This is a great alternative to staying in the busy centre of San Remo. I truly recommend this place as it was one of those places where I wish I had stayed a day or two more, that's how lovely it was.
Perfect Apartment in the heart of San Remo. The terrace view forth it to spent there couple of days. The Apartment is spacious, clean. The Apartment has his own parking place, that is very important if you are coming by car, and want to stay in city center.
