Our first visit to Gordan's Bay and we were impressed. The beaches are lovely, locals are friendly. There is plenty of restaurants and shops in the area for everything you need. Highly recommend Tallas for a very good meal. Will visit again

A mix of accomodations in the area and an easily accessible beach are a seller.
There's a small selection of eateries and grocery shops - we used Woolies, ate at the Pottery Barn.. their flapjacks with bacon....heaven....and the decadent cupcakes at Ms. Dimples were moreish. East Coast Fisheries fish and chips is HUGE...and great value. Some places are clearly more cosmopolitan and everywhere was evidence of effort.. to keep it clean, to be attractive and welcoming. Gordon's Bay has everything you would need for a relaxed break...and a dose of nostalgia...all within a stones throw of bigger centers.

Very large Somerset mall is 10 minutes drive away.
It is quite and peaceful.
The roads was full of potholes and Friday traffic was hair-raising.
The Saturday and Sunday traffic was no problem.

Small place nice and clean beaches. Some good restaurants and enough outside G/B to go to great beach drive .Lourensford wine Estate a must to see.
Zest and Talas great restaurants and Coffee on The Go for excellent coffee and a good choice in breakfasts.

We know Gordons Bay very well as we used to own a property...
We know Gordons Bay very well as we used to own a property there. It's a quiet delightful village with 2 fabulous beaches, a few great restaurants and bars as well as a working harbour.
In nearby Strand village, there is a fabulous fine dining restaurant 'De Brasserie' owned by a local Belgian family of wine producers - utterly stupendous!

We saw krystal beach hotel being rebuilt ftom the old one.Always promised ourselves a stay one day but never did until now.However we often called for coffee. My wife thought it was the nicest birthday surprise ever.so that made it all worth while.

Blue Skies is very well situated in Gordons Bay, easy to get to and very close to the sea front. What was so good was that every little thing one might need in a Bed and Breakfast hotel had been supplied, it was so thoughtful too. Seriously good cooked breakfast and so much else on the buffet from juices to cereals,yogurt, toast, jams, a selection of teas and coffees and many other things. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Excellent house. Very clean. Modern fittings in kitchen and bathrooms and well maintained. Location right on the beach with own private steps down to the sea and beachfront. Check-in was superb and personal by the host. Well explained and not rushed. DStv and WiFi were good.
I loved that as you entered you don’t meet the host like a hotel it gives one a private moment to enter the place. The view is beautiful, it’s private . Great gate away . It’s so beautiful
We stayed here for one night only enroute to the airport. I now wish we stayed longer. It is a great hotel, clean and in a lovely location. I would highly recommend this place.
